Downtown Jamsil is a fairly large, comfortable craft burger restaurant. That was the first thing I noticed as soon as I walked in. It has gotten really hot lately, and the air conditioning was blasting, so it was wonderfully cool inside.

The overall interior feels more like a neat café than an ordinary burger joint, so it works well as a date spot too.

After you order, Downtown Jamsil gives you a number sign instead of a vibrating buzzer. Take it to any seat you like and set it where it's easy to see on the table. When the food is ready, staff check the number and bring it right to your table. You don't have to go back and forth to pick up your food, which is so convenient~!

The classic cheeseburger is the most basic item, where the juicy patty and the savory cheese blend well. The sauce and vegetables are well balanced, so nothing is overdone, and I could taste the clean, true flavor of a craft burger.

The bun isn't dry either; it's soft and goes down easily. Downtown burgers usually come with bacon, so I ordered the classic cheeseburger, which has no bacon. That makes it a mild, light choice even for people who dislike greasy flavors.

The Downtown hot honey chicken burger is a sweet-and-spicy burger: a big chicken patty with a hot-sauce-style seasoning and sweet honey sauce. The chicken meat is thick and the outside is fried crispy, so the texture is great.

Under the chicken patty there's a generous bed of vegetables like cabbage coleslaw, which keeps the fried flavor from getting too heavy. The onion rings came with the set upgrade (+₩5,300). The batter is thin and crispy, so they feel less oily. One bite and the natural sweetness and savoriness of the onion spreads through your mouth. If you're a bit tired of fries, switching to the onion ring set seems like a good choice.

The extra original chicken bites are fried in bite-size pieces, so they were very easy to eat. Super crispy outside and moist inside, like boneless fried chicken?? The portion is quite generous, perfect for picking at between bites of your burger.

Every item at Downtown Jamsil had a good flavor balance and the portions were hearty, so I left full. The staff bringing food to the table was friendly service too, and overall my satisfaction with the visit was high!
