Today's review is a clinic report from Park Jun Beauty Lab Gangnam Branch, a spot known for recovery clinics! As someone who's had extensions in for a long time... blow-drying diligently every day left my hair pretty seriously damaged ㅠ,ㅠ So I rushed off to Park Jun Beauty Lab Gangnam Branch to give my hair CPR! I fell for how professional the clinic treatment was, so I'm writing this review right away.

Park Jun Beauty Lab Gangnam Branch is actually a salon I'd already been recommended as a head spa specialty place. Since I'm someone who gets clinic treatments regularly, I thought — I should visit Park Jun this time! — and went for it haha. It was recommended to me personally by an acquaintance, so I was already excited going in haha.

I booked ahead through Naver Reservations before visiting! Worth keeping in mind if you're planning to book too~

What the salon looks like inside

The interior was much more spacious and pleasant than I expected! Even though I came at what was clearly a busy time, the space was clean and comfortable, so I loved it right from the start~~

Being a salon specializing in clinics and head spas, they even had scalp (kera) spa options along with a variety of recovery clinics. As someone who gets hair clinics often, I loved this. And it's not just standard clinics — they also do recovery magic perms and recovery color. Highly recommend for people like me with a lot of existing damage who also need color!

The Shiseido clinic starts with a written consultation

Park Jun Beauty Lab Gangnam Branch is famous as a clinic/head spa specialty salon, so I came in for a clinic treatment!! To cut to the chase — I really loved this treatment haha.

For this visit, my clinic treatment was done by stylist designer Jinseon~ She's really kind but also very thorough, so I totally recommend her!! Looking at her Instagram, she has separate accounts for updos and for color specialties! There's also a color event running right now, so it might be worth checking out when you visit >.<

Before the treatment, they do a consultation to design something customized for you, and this was the first time I'd gotten such a detailed, personalized consultation sheet!! Little details like how skilled I am at self-styling and things I should keep in mind (my schedule, etc.) were all checked — a consultation sheet that could really be tailored to me, which raised my satisfaction ♥️

Here's my messy, greasy hair before the treatment... ㅋ I'd had extensions in for a pretty long time, and two years ago I got both an Elizabeth perm and a hippie perm, so my hair is quite damaged ㅠ

My hair has damage plus oiliness plus scalp trouble, so after the consultation we settled on the Shiseido clinic! I went with the full 7-step reforming program~! ☺️

Step 1: the Shiseido clinic's dedicated shampoo

The Shiseido clinic at Park Jun Beauty Lab Gangnam Branch starts with a dedicated shampoo! This shampoo removes metallic residue and oxidized lipids from the hair surface — in short, it's said to have a peeling effect on the hair. I'd never seen a shampoo like this before 😭 True to being a clinic specialty salon, it won me over from the shampoo alone haha.

Shiseido care line Deep Detox

The second step of the Shiseido clinic is Deep Detox! This step removes accumulated calcium ions built up inside the hair, leaving it tangle-free! Designer Jinseon's touch as she worked the nutrients in, just like in the video✨ — it felt amazing ㅠ.ㅠ

UP-TEX and Deep-Smooth steps

Next comes the step that fills the hair with protein and moisture! The UP-TEX and Deep-Smooth stage — the designer told me my ends especially were so damaged that this step was exactly what I needed haha. A step that reshapes and repairs damaged hair evenly and smoothly! Exactly what I needed..

IN-FILL, Wonder Shield and the mask

After 10 minutes of sitting with the UP-TEX and Deep-Smooth step, next comes the repair ingredient infusion step! I'd heard it was a customized clinic, but honestly I'd forgotten? She asked how often I dye my hair and what my main damage causes and concerns were ㅋㅋㅋ ㅜㅜ I told her about the extensions... and the dyeing... and she adjusted the clinic products accordingly~ Truly a clinic destination, confirmed.... This step also forms a hydrophobic base and infuses a coating that provides UV protection, and she said this part could give the most dramatic effect, so I was really looking forward to it ✨

Leave-in treatment and a second Wonder Shield

The final step is the leave-in treatment and Wonder Shield stage! She finished up with hair oil and a coating agent that help block heat, UV rays, and fine dust buildup ☺️ Designer Jinseon absorbed the coating nutrients into my hair firmly and thoroughly, it felt so good.. and the shampoo pressure was so satisfying;; ♥️

Can you see this shine ......!! And I only dried and styled it ...!!! Seriously a clinic destination, confirmed. I knew they were a clinic specialty salon, but this is a genuinely real clinic specialty salon...
