Suwon hair salon: C-curl perm for flippy shoulder hair, Kamiya Hair

I wanted a layered perm at a hair salon in Yeongtong, Suwon, so I went to Kamiya Hair Yeongtong, near Yeongtong Station and Kyung Hee University. I booked on Naver the day before and it was confirmed right away, which was so convenient. The salon was clean and good value. Let me tell you all the details~~!

Where is Kamiya Hair Yeongtong, and how is the parking?

Kamiya Hair Yeongtong is on the 3rd floor of Yejoo Plaza (1689 Deogyeong-daero, Yeongtong-gu, Suwon, Gyeonggi), at the intersection across from the Kyung Hee University main gate by Yeongtong Station. It is open daily from 10:00 to 20:00, and you can park in the building's underground parking lot.

I was able to park in the underground lot inside Yejoo Plaza, and no separate parking ticket was needed.

What is the inside of Kamiya Hair Yeongtong like?

Inside, Kamiya Hair Yeongtong is a pleasant, spacious room. There are about 6 styling seats, with about 3 tables sitting in the middle.

On one side there was a shampoo area, plus a product display and a service zone. Mouthwash, lens cleaner, vitamin C, sponges and cotton swabs were all set out, and you can help yourself.

How does the consultation work?

When you arrive at Kamiya Hair Yeongtong, your designer puts your things in a locker and hands you a gown. You change, then sit at a table for a style consultation. I showed photos of the style I wanted, looked at photos of similar results the designer had in mind, and heard what the look would be like on my current hair.

And so we settled on a layered perm at this Yeongtong salon! The layered cut and layered perm are both included~~

On the table there was also a sign about the prepaid membership, and a drink menu. If you get your hair done often, the membership might be worth it, I thought.

During the treatment, the designers come by every now and then to ask what you'd like to drink and bring it to you. They asked about twice, so I ended up having two drinks, an iced Americano and an iced tea. haha~

What treatment did I get for flippy shoulder-length hair?

My hair touches my shoulders and flips out, an awkward length, so I went with a layered cut plus a layered C-curl perm, which seemed easier to style. I agonized over it before choosing, and I bet anyone with hair at this length knows that awkward feeling haha

Layered C-curl perm: step by step

First came a shampoo and then the haircut. I kept the length and just did a light layered cut, then applied the perm solution and heat treatment! After that, another shampoo.

After the shampoo, the front and side hair were straightened with an iron, and the ends got heat treatment with the perm machine~~ Then solution went on at the shampoo area, I waited a bit, got one more shampoo, and after drying it was all done!

Treatment time and result

The layered cut plus layered C-curl perm at Kamiya Hair Yeongtong took about 3 hours, I think. My hair ended up looking this neat and tidy.

My designer was Teddy, and the other designers also checked in from time to time as it went along. The whole treatment had a friendly atmosphere.
