Late dinner ssambap restaurant in Paju, stroller-friendly: Simhaksan
In short
Simhaksan Deulkkot Ssambap is a ssambap (rice and greens wraps) and home-style Korean restaurant on Dolgoji-gil, near the Paju Outlet in Gyeonggi. On the way home from the outlet with a baby, the writer ordered the deuljeongsik set for two, mixed the stir-fried pork and stir-fried squid into one wrap, and took as many wrap greens as wanted from the self-serve bar. With room for a stroller, a baby chair and even a microwave, Simhaksan Deulkkot Ssambap made a late dinner with a baby easy.

I found Simhaksan Deulkkot Ssambap (심학산 들꽃쌈밥) while looking for a hearty meal on the way back from the Paju Outlet with my baby.

I visited because I love ssambap (wrap rice), and it turned out to be fine for eating with a baby too, since they had both stroller space and a baby chair.

Is parking easy at Simhaksan Deulkkot Ssambap?

Simhaksan Deulkkot Ssambap has parking right in front of the restaurant, so it was easy to visit by car. You can walk straight in after parking, which made moving around with a baby stress-free.
Inside Simhaksan Deulkkot Ssambap: stroller space and baby chairs

There's a Table-ing waitlist machine at the entrance of Deulkkot Ssambap, so you can register for a wait there too.

The restaurant was split into two dining areas, and the gaps between tables felt reasonably comfortable.

There was also a separate waiting area set up!

There was enough space for a stroller, and a baby chair was ready, so I used the baby chair.

You can order easily via the QR code on the table. The staff were also friendly, so it was a comfortable meal.
What comes with the deuljeongsik set for two?

We ordered the deuljeongsik set for two. Deuljeongsik comes with stir-fried pork + stir-fried squid + doenjang stew + gangdoenjang + pot rice.
Side dishes and pumpkin porridge to start

First came a compact set of basic side dishes — seasoned eggplant, seasoned laver, young radish kimchi, seasoned zucchini, and pickled cucumber.

And as an appetizer, sweet pumpkin porridge too 👍
Stir-fried pork and squid mixed into one wrap

The stars of the deuljeongsik set — stir-fried pork and stir-fried squid!

At first I tried each separately — the pork was tender and the seasoning was on the sweeter side,

while the stir-fried squid had a chewy texture that went well with the spicy, savory sauce.

Both were tasty on their own, but later I tried mixing them together

and once the pork and squid combined, it felt like osam bulgogi (pork-and-squid stir-fry) — wrapped in a lettuce leaf, it was even better.
The gangdoenjang and doenjang stew were refillable, which made them great to eat alongside the wraps too.
Pot rice and nurungji (toasted rice crust)
The freshly made pot rice came out glossy and fluffy, grain by grain. After finishing the rice, they pour in water to make warm nurungji (scorched rice tea) to finish the meal. Being able to eat warm food right to the end made it a satisfying meal.
What's on the self-serve wrap greens bar?

At Deulkkot Ssambap, if you run low on side dishes you can grab more from the self-serve bar, and best of all, you can take as many wrap vegetables as you like.

There was a good variety — perilla leaves, lettuce, alba cabbage, chicory, peppers — so it was fun picking what I liked to wrap.

There were also simple snacks to nibble on. And with a microwave available, it would be handy for warming up baby food too~
Coffee and ice cream to finish

On the way out after the meal, there was coffee and ice cream ready as well.

I finished off with ice cream to cleanse my palate, which was a nice light way to end the meal.
⭐️⭐️ Verdict: dinner at Simhaksan Deulkkot Ssambap with a baby ⭐️⭐️
Even though I visited on a weekday late evening, customers kept coming in for dinner, and being able to enjoy the wrap vegetables together with the pork and squid made me want to come back the next time I'm in Paju. In particular, it's a Paju restaurant where I could eat comfortably even with a baby, so it seems like a good option when looking for a family dining spot too.
