Bulgogi pizza and beer for three at Eopija, a Yangcheon pizza pub

After an early dinner, I was looking for somewhere to grab a simple second round as a late-night snack, and that's when I found Eopija (어피자), a Yeomchang Station spot!! I was walking by and saw it packed with local neighborhood folks, so I walked in without hesitation lol

Today I got roped into Bitppyu's late-night snack time (I'm the shining single friend, aka 'Light-that-Shines-Solo'). Following Bitppyu, I headed out to demolish some pizza and beer near Yeomchang Station!

What Eopija looks like from the street

Eopija has that classic pizza place feel, but with the soft lighting it also carries a decent amount of moody pub vibes!

There are tables outside too, so it looks great for pizza and beer outdoors on a nice day

This Yeomchang Station pizza spot Eopija is really great to come to as a second or third stop of the night too!! You don't have to order a whole pizza — you can just get pizza slices or a light side dish with a drink!! Made it super easy to drop in without any pressure lol

Inside Eopija: seating and the self-serve bar

The inside of Eopija was mostly 4-person tables, and even at 9-10pm on a Saturday night, there were quite a lot of people!

On one side of the self-serve bar there was cold water, hot sauce, parmesan cheese, wet wipes, and on the other side there was even a phone charger set up thoughtfully! Such attention to detail from the owner..ㅠㅎ

There was a happy hour sign on the wall, and it looked like pretty good value — perfect for a quick beer on the way home from work!

They had moody movies playing on the screen too, which added great atmosphere to the place, and the drink selection was insanely varied so you could pick whatever fit your taste!

There were solid set menus too, but today our only goal was... just pizza, all the way lol. Our order: one whole bulgogi pizza and 2 glasses of draft beer!

They brought the cold draft beer out first, so we sipped along with the pizza-waiting snacks

How big is Eopija's whole bulgogi pizza? Too much even for three

Wait, but... wow it's huge, seriously huge. We came as three and pretty much finished it all, but if you come as two, I'd say order the half size

It's seriously this big...lol lol you can inhale pizza to your heart's content, it was basically like an endless refill lol lol. Not just huge in size — the toppings were piled on generously and packed all over the dough too!!

The toppings and cheese were so overloaded that the pizza felt heavy and wasn't even easy to pick up ㅠㅠ

Self-serve hot sauce and parmesan, plus the free corn cheese

So we grabbed some hot sauce and parmesan from the self-serve bar, and Seolhyeong-ppyu, who really knows her stuff, told me this hot sauce is the good one!! lol It really boosted the pizza's flavor to another level!

And the free corn cheese mayo the kind owner gave us... this is seriously a magic item ㅠㅠ

Personally I love salty, savory olive toppings, and the olives were piled on generously without holding back — totally my type

How is the crust, and is the pizza too heavy for a late-night meal?

The pizza crust wasn't dry at all, it was super chewy and delicious! The edge of the crust wasn't too thick either, so it wasn't heavy — perfect for a simple late-night snack with beer

Bitppyu was enjoying the pizza and beer so happily that it made me feel good too lol. And as expected, this pizza... it was sweet-and-salty with that savory flavor that just keeps calling you back for more beer ㅠㅠ

After that we fell into the beer cycle and ended up ordering two more rounds

Bitppyu and I are both huge parmesan lovers, so we sprinkled tons of it on the pizza. Adding that savory parmesan cheese doubled the umami — I wanted to hoard this parmesan too

Then we tried putting some of the corn cheese the owner gave us onto the pizza lol lol lol

Oh, this combo turned out surprisingly great!! The popping corn kernels with the sweet bulgogi pizza — the pizza was so big you'd think you'd get sick of it eating, but not even one bit, it stayed salty with plenty of bulgogi flavor so my hand kept reaching for the last slice!!!

Final verdict on Eopija

A great pizza-and-beer spot near Yeomchang Station with good value and an overwhelmingly large pizza! The crust isn't thick, it's chewy, and the toppings are piled high, so the beer just keeps flowing endlessly — it's addictive!!

You can also just order pizza slices or light sides, so it's perfect to drop by for a second or third round with zero pressure! I totally get why there were so many locals here at Eopija near Yeomchang Station ㅎ.ㅎ Highly recommend as an atmospheric pizza-and-beer pub!!!
