Cold hands and feet even in summer? That's me! Nothing gets your circulation going and flushes out the gunk quite like a sauna, right? I heard that a clean new private sauna, My Bless Sauna (마이 브레스 사우나), had opened in Sinbuldang, Cheonan, so I booked through Naver and went.

These days public baths and big jjimjilbang (Korean bathhouses) are so crowded that I worry about hygiene, and it's hard to have time to myself. My Bless Sauna is a truly private space that I could enjoy all by myself, which I loved. Where is My Bless Sauna in Cheonan, and how is the parking?

My Bless Sauna is in Room 201 on the 2nd floor of 192 Bulttang 25-ro, Seobuk-gu, Cheonan, Chungnam, South Korea, open daily from 9 a.m. to 10 p.m. by Naver reservation. Go up to the 2nd floor and it's right across from st Boxing, so it was not hard to find at all.

Honestly, parking around Sinbuldang is tough, with cars crammed into every alley, and if you end up in a building with a tiny lot, omg... But the building with My Bless Sauna has a big parking lot, so even beginner drivers can park comfortably without worry.

Prices at My Bless Sauna are ₩55,000 for 90 minutes, ₩65,000 for 110 minutes and ₩120,000 for the 120-minute family room, and you can get a ₩5,000 discount coupon on the Naver booking page. Courses are split by number of people and length of time, so pick what suits you.

Inside My Bless Sauna: the atmosphere and welcome kit

The inside of My Bless Sauna has a toned-down, warm and calm mood, with lush green plants and pebble-path landscaping neatly set up on one side, so it felt like a high-end resort spa 💕

As an opening event, they're currently giving a welcome kit of grilled eggs, cold sikhye (sweet rice drink), a cup of ice and bottled water! Sikhye and eggs are the golden rule of any jjimjilbang or sauna, right? After sweating a lot you crave something cold and sweet, and they set it all out so thoughtfully on a tray that I really felt the healing. So good.

A hair cap, prepared in case the sauna damages your hair.

Robes and sauna clothes to wear are ready too.

A dryer, lotion and other things you need after washing are all prepared. Each person gets 2 towels as standard, and they were so thick and soft that I wanted to buy the same ones for home.

If you take your phone into a sauna it heats up fast and you can't really look at it, right? Thoughtfully, they've also put out a few books so you won't be bored, so you can have an analog reading-and-healing time.

The 90-minute solo course: do you really get the room to yourself?

The 90-minute solo course at My Bless Sauna means you use the entire room by yourself for 1 hour 30 minutes. I booked the most basic one, the private 90-minute sauna (1 person).

Since it's by reservation, it seems they leave generous gaps between time slots. Thanks to that, I never ran into the previous or next guests when coming or going, so the flow was truly, perfectly private. The owner must also clean very carefully every slot, because there wasn't a speck of dust, and it felt like I was the first guest in a brand-new space.

You change comfortably inside the room and it connects straight to the sauna, so getting around was really easy. The sauna has a big picture window, so it doesn't feel stuffy but wide open! A faint scent spreads through it too, which was lovely and perfect for closing your eyes and meditating. Stepping out now and then for a sip of cold sikhye from the ice cup and cracking open a grilled egg... honestly heaven 👍🏻💗🍀

Sitting quietly in the warm sauna, the tension melted out of my whole body and sweat started to bead, and it felt like healthy gunk was streaming out from deep inside.

Do you need to bring anything to My Bless Sauna?

The room at My Bless Sauna is stocked with amenities, so you don't even need to bring toiletries or cosmetics. Packing a bunch of stuff for a sauna is a hassle, but here you can drop the heavy bag!-! Everything was already prepared, even more than I expected, so it was extra convenient. The basic amenity lineup in the room is hotel-spa level.

• Hygiene and beauty items: toothbrush, toothpaste, cotton swabs, comb, lotion, body lotion
• Shower/hair products: shampoo, conditioner, body wash (stocked with premium brands such as Aveda)
• Hair device: a Dyson dryer is provided!

A comb can feel icky when many people use it, but they seem to sterilize it thoroughly every time, so I could use it without worry. The dryer is a Dyson too, so after the sauna and shower I could dry my hair very fast without damaging it. Totally satisfied.

At the end, since I was hot after the sauna, they even gave me a cold sparkling water! Thank you :)
