Let me introduce Jangsodam (장소담), an all-you-can-eat meat restaurant in Seo-gu, Incheon, with a playroom that's great for kids and food so good we keep coming back!

Jangsodam is a spot in Cheongna, Seo-gu, Incheon, where you can eat eel, beef and pork all you can. You get high-quality beef and freshwater eel, plus a self-bar full of different dishes, so it's popular for Cheongna company dinners, family gatherings and group get-togethers too.

My husband was recently looking for a place for a company dinner in Seo-gu, Incheon, and remembered our family meal at Jangsodam. He recommended it hard to his team and went, and I heard his teammates were very satisfied. It's the kind of all-you-can-eat meat place where you eat to your heart's content and still leave in a good mood.

Jangsodam's playroom: is it good for kids?

The playroom at Jangsodam isn't cramped and is nice for kids to play in, which makes it a great playroom restaurant in Cheongna to go to with a child. High chairs and children's tableware are all ready too. My daughter always asks whether a restaurant has a playroom when we eat out, so going to Jangsodam is always an automatic yes.

The all-you-can-eat sets at Jangsodam come in A and B Sets with eel, the C Set with just beef and pork, and the D Set with just pork. You can also order eel or beef on its own, and the à la carte prices are quite reasonable too. My family prefers the C Set with beef and pork, so that's what we usually pick.

How is the Jangsodam self-bar set up?

The self-bar is spread over four spots. First, the side dishes, wrap vegetables and sauces you need for the meat and eel are at the front, near the playroom. What's different from other places is the variety of kimchi and side dishes, like green onion kimchi (daepa-kimchi) and chive kimchi (jjokpa-kimchi). I always grab the green onion kimchi! It's spicy and delicious :)

In the middle of the hall there's a self-bar with all kinds of cooked dishes, so it's easy to enjoy the buffet at any age.

There are also rice and morning rolls set out separately, and the ingredients for making rice balls (jumeokbap) are well stocked. Because of all this, I find myself recommending Jangsodam as a playroom restaurant in Cheongna that's great with kids.

Near the entrance you'll find pork, chicken, drinks and desserts. Pork is included in every all-you-can-eat set, and there's a wide range from marinated galbi to pork neck, pork belly and pork skin, all kept fresh.

Sodas, soft-serve ice cream and cookies are all covered at Jangsodam too. With a playroom, ice cream and tasty meat, it's a restaurant where the whole family has a happy meal every time we go with our 7-year-old!

Can you refill Jangsodam beef by cut?

At Jangsodam, eel and beef are brought to your table when you ask for more by table order, while pork and the other dishes are refilled yourself at the self-bar. The beef is top-grade cuts like galbi-sal and snowflake beef (nunkkot-sal), and the quality is really good.

From sirloin to galbi-sal and snowflake beef, every grilled piece is tender and soft and just slides down. Even my 7-year-old, who refuses meat if it's tough, eats it really well :)

At first they bring several cuts at once, so you taste a variety, and for refills you can pick only the cuts you want by table order. I really loved being able to refill only the beef cuts I wanted to eat more of.

I especially liked the sirloin, my husband said the chuck ribs (chuck-galbi) were the best, and our kid ate the snowflake beef well. Refilling each person's favorite cut makes it great to eat, and there's no waste.

If you order a set that includes beef at Jangsodam, you also get yukhoe (seasoned raw beef tartare). It's so nutty and savory that I kept reaching for more.

The marinated raw crab (yangnyeom gejang) is served once at the start, and the pieces were really big and packed full, so I enjoyed it a lot!

Is Jangsodam's marinated galbi good too?

The marinated galbi at Jangsodam was so good that I wished I had room for more, even though I was already full of beef. Honestly, the beef alone would be good value, but my family loves marinated galbi, so we couldn't give up the pork. I brought two kinds of marinated galbi to grill, and it was so insanely good!

I was full from the beef so I only grilled a little, but it was so good I wished I could stretch my stomach. Next time I want galbi, I'll go back for the D Set.
