All-you-can-eat beef buffet in Cheongna for a cheat day: Jangsodam
In short
Jangsodam Eel and Beef Buffet Cheongna Main Branch is a second-floor all-you-can-eat eel, beef, pork and buffet restaurant in Cheongna, Seohae, Incheon. For a cheat day with a partner, the writer ordered the A Set, dipped chadolbaegi (thin-sliced beef brisket) in sesame oil salt, grilled thick eel, and finished with Teumsae ramyeon from the Han River-style ramyeon machine and soft-serve ice cream. The amount and condition of the beef and the thick eel at Jangsodam were all satisfying, making it a proper, nourishing meal.

A spot in Cheongna for unlimited thick eel and beef

What is Jangsodam in Cheongna like, and how is the parking?
Jangsodam Eel and Beef Buffet Cheongna Main Branch (장소담 청라본점) is an all-you-can-eat meat buffet in Cheongna where you can eat eel and beef, and it has a ground-level parking lot, so parking was easy. The name Jangsodam comes from the idea of "packing in eel and beef," which made the place even more memorable to me :)
Today my partner and I decided to have a cheat day after a long while. Honestly, every day lately is a cheat day, though ^_^.. Still, it's been a really long time since I went to an all-you-can-eat place. I've been living on instant food and felt a bit drained, so I went looking for an eel and beef spot to recharge, and that's Jangsodam in Cheongna.

Jangsodam, a Cheongna specialist for Japonica freshwater eel and premium beef, is on the second floor, and even from outside it felt like the place would be spacious.
Jangsodam's Monday Eel Day and events
Every Monday, Jangsodam Cheongna Main Branch runs an Eel Day: 1kg of eel for ₩29,900. With an eel order, rice, drinks, a special dish, Han River ramyeon and soft serve are all free.
There's also a waiting event, and it's surprisingly good (?), so it almost feels like waiting pays off... ? haha
I was surprised by the size of the place as soon as I walked in. Besides the area I photographed, there's an even bigger space on the other side. It was packed with customers, so I couldn't take photos there T_T...! There's also an event where group reservations of 10 or more get 1 bottle of bokbunja (black raspberry wine) per table, so I'd recommend Jangsodam when booking for a group :)
Does Jangsodam Cheongna have a kids' playroom?
Yes, Jangsodam Cheongna Main Branch has a kids' playroom. This is really why I liked it even more..! With this one playroom, you can eat in total comfort, seriously ><!

We ordered the A Set at Jangsodam
Jangsodam has great-value set menus you can pick by taste. We ordered the A Set, which lets you enjoy eel + beef + pork + the buffet, all together.
Oh, and if you like, they'll also serve seasoned crab (yangnyeom gejang) and soy-marinated crab (ganjang gejang) with a set menu. Crab lovers, take note!
What's in Jangsodam's buffet and meat zone?
Jangsodam's buffet was neatly laid out. We were lucky enough to sit right next to it, so it was convenient to grab food with a short walk.

This is the meat zone, where you can eat all kinds of pork without limit. The kind owner even wrote down the types of grill plates you can use for cooking the meat :)
You can pile up plenty of sides that go well with meat. There were lots of sauces, and the scallion kimchi (pa-kimchi) was especially good :)

There's spaghetti that kids love, tofu with stir-fried kimchi (dubu-kimchi) that I hadn't had in ages, and assorted fritters. Plus tteokbokki (spicy rice cakes), jeyuk-bokkeum (spicy stir-fried pork) and sundae (Korean blood sausage)! You slice the sundae yourself :)
Rice is unlimited too, and you can make rice balls (jumeokbap) like this. I made mine with mayo and it was so good, really?

Drinks are unlimited, and there are dessert cookies and ice cream too. The ice cream is soft serve, and I strongly recommend having it last as dessert!
You can have Han River ramyeon too
Han River ramyeon, which I haven't seen in ages! Jangsodam lets you make it like this, so save room for it while enjoying the eel and beef. I hadn't had it in so long and it was really good... you'd lose out by skipping it ><....
How were the amount and quality of the beef at Jangsodam?
The beef in Jangsodam's A Set came in a really big amount, and even though it's all-you-can-eat, the quality was top-notch. Wow... the beef arrived...! I was so shocked by how much there was..... Wow..... I've honestly never seen a beef place with this much. I started worrying how we'd finish it all, being a small eater, Hyebom.. But I have a big-eater partner ^_^
And eel on top of that... amazing, really. And even yukhoe (Korean beef tartare)!!!!!!!
Brisket dipped in sesame oil salt
I grilled the brisket first. As always... brisket is delicious whenever you eat it. That rich, nutty flavor really woke up my appetite. Overall, the beef condition at Jangsodam, a Cheongna all-you-can-eat beef spot, is truly satisfying.

Mmm.... brisket is already rich, but dipping it in the sesame oil salt seasoning was just heavenly for me.

The meat quality at Jangsodam in Cheongna was so good that we kept saying "this is delicious" with every piece we grilled.

I took only as many vegetables and buffet items as I could eat. Taking a lot at the start can leave leftovers, so I grabbed just a little at a time :)
Is Jangsodam's eel really thick?
Jangsodam's eel was definitely really thick, and maybe because of that, the texture was great. People say Jangsodam is popular because the eel is so plump, and once I grilled it myself, I got it.

There was no off smell at all, and the eel's nutty flavor was so good that I was satisfied down to the very last piece.

And that's not all. I'm grilling more. The pieces of meat were huge hahahaha.. It's a proper cheat day today, so I'm really happy ^_^ If the meat weren't tasty we'd have left a lot, but it was so good that we kept eating even when full.

Jangsodam's beef was full of juice. The more I chewed, the nuttier it got.
Finishing with Tteumsae ramyeon and soft serve
After finishing the meat at Jangsodam, I cooked Tteumsae ramyeon in the Han River ramyeon machine for dessert. Han River ramyeon TIME~
I'm normally a Jin Ramen spicy person, okay? But why is Tteumsae ramyeon so good...? o_o.. I was really shocked...? o_o.. Maybe it's because I made it Han River style, but it was really delicious. The chewy firmness of the noodles was the best.......
Soft serve to finish made it perfect. I left feeling properly fueled up. Having had a truly proper meal, I was in a great mood.
Jangsodam Cheongna Main Branch covered 2 hours of parking, so with the remaining time I walked around Cheongna Canalway, and it was a really enjoyable time :)
