A next-generation heated humidifier that gets safety, convenience, and noise all right
Humidifiers generally fall into three categories: ultrasonic, heated, and natural evaporative.
When I sleep with an ultrasonic humidifier on, I sometimes end up coughing more, so I prefer heated humidifiers with their fine particles and warm mist.
Heated humidifiers definitely have drawbacks too, such as the sound of boiling water and safety concerns. But while looking at products designed to improve on those points, I found a humidifier that made me think, “This is it!” So let me introduce it to you.
A next-generation heated humidifier
The product I found is the Sutimt heated humidifier. Unlike the pressure-rice-cooker shape commonly seen in heated humidifiers, this one has a fully open structure. With pressure-cooker-style models, I worried about pressure building up and the risk of an explosion, but this product’s fully open structure removes that risk.
It looks similar to a pressure-cooker-style model, but the lid on top comes completely off.
That means no pressure can build up, and it was much more convenient to clean too.
The lid also has a double lock so it cannot be opened easily. It was carefully made to eliminate all the risky parts.
Safety design that considers tipping too
I think the danger of a heated humidifier is greatest when it tips over. To prevent that in the first place, it has a wide-base design that minimizes tipping.
Even if it does tip over, the double lock keeps the lid from coming off, and the steam guard helps prevent a sudden burst of hot water.
Steam-tower structure and all-stainless-steel tank
The inner water tank is entirely stainless steel, using medical-grade SUS 316 material for more hygienic use. Rather than simply having a standalone tank, its steam-tower structure heats only the center of the tank, improving heat efficiency and misting speed. It therefore shortens the time to boiling to a minimum of 12 minutes for faster humidification.
Every part of the water tank can be cleaned separately, but be careful not to let water touch the lower connecting section that transfers heat.
When moving the humidifier, disconnect the power cord and carry it by the handle. I liked this convenience too.
Touch controls and an automatic cleaning function
The Sutimt heated humidifier has intuitive touch controls, so it is very easy to operate and set to the mode you want.

You can change settings with a light touch. Press and hold the timer button for at least 3 seconds to activate the child lock, and then none of the buttons will operate.
It also has an automatic cleaning function. Mineral stains or limescale marks that naturally occur when using a heated humidifier can be neatly handled by adding citric acid and running the automatic cleaning cycle.
All functions can also be operated by remote control. Press sleep mode and the LED light on the front of the humidifier turns off, so you can sleep without glare.
Top filling without opening the lid
In winter, there are many days when you run a humidifier longer than expected. When the low-water alert comes on, you can safely pour water directly into the top here without opening the lid.
Opening and closing the lid is more bothersome than you might think, so I really liked how easily this heated humidifier can be refilled.
Quiet mist output tested in a baby room
The noisiest moment for a heated humidifier is when the water begins to boil, just before it starts humidifying! The boiling sound is the loudest, but Sutimt boiled the water quickly, and perhaps because it is efficient, the noise was not very loud either.
This is the sound it made while the water was boiling. This was the loudest it got, and once all the water had boiled and humidification began, the noise decreased even more. A heated humidifier for a baby room really should be quiet so the child does not wake up and can sleep soundly~ I truly liked how quiet it was.
There are two mist-output settings. Low releases steam that is almost, but not quite, visible, while High releases quite a lot of steam, like when you boil water in a pot. Our baby room is not large, so leaving it on Low overnight worked well. I recommend setting the mist output according to the size of your baby room.
Easy removable cleaning for daily care
Because it boils water, mineral stains and limescale are unavoidable, so I manage them with citric acid plus the automatic cleaning cycle. For daily cleaning, you can simply remove the lid and water tank and wipe them lightly, so maintenance is really easy. I found having everything come apart the most convenient. I do not have to carry the whole humidifier around.
Sutimt, the heated humidifier I chose for warm, safe humidification in the baby room! If you want efficient heated humidification while minimizing risks, I would recommend the Sutimt heated humidifier. I am genuinely satisfied with it, and I think I will use it for a long time.
