Ever since I got pregnant, a humidifier became one of those appliances I really had no choice but to use. Careful moms, weren’t you also overwhelmed by all the humidifier types and wondering which one to choose?
I also spent a long time considering which humidifier to use with my baby, among heated, hybrid, and all the other types. But!! The real answer is safety and convenience—those two things.
The humidifier I had used since my baby was little was a hybrid model, but cleaning it was so, so, so complicated, with far too many parts to wash. I just couldn’t handle it.

Why I chose a heated humidifier for my baby
So even before then, I’d kept saying, “My next humidifier absolutely has to be a heated one.” But there really are so many kinds of heated humidifiers, too.

Lately, though, I heard that pressure-type heated humidifiers shaped like rice cookers could pose an explosion risk, which made me nervous again.

That led me to Sutimt, with its non-pressurized design!! I heard that its eight steam outlets immediately disperse pressure, preventing pressure buildup in the first place and blocking the risk of explosion.

Steam-tower direct heating and the cleaning design
What I liked most was the steam-tower-style direct heating at the center. Conventional products have to heat all the water before releasing steam, so it takes nearly 30 minutes before humidifying really gets going—but Sutimt can do it in 12 minutes!

It’s all thanks to this steam tower. It is designed to reduce the energy loss that worries me most when using a heated humidifier.

Inside, it really feels like a rice cooker. ^^

Since heat is applied here, you must never submerge this part in water!!

Do not submerge it, and do not wash the bottom of the water tank.

Still, I only have this clean, no-frills part to wash, so using a humidifier no longer feels like a burden. The interior surfaces that contact water are premium SUS 316. Regular tableware usually uses 304, but Sutimt uses medical-grade SUS 316, so it can withstand frequent cleaning and heating. They always point out that really good stainless-steel pots are SUS 316, too, so it instantly made me trust it more.
And a remote control for a humidifier! Isn’t that incredibly convenient? As you can see here, it also has an auto-cleaning mode, making cleaning easier.

Safety features I considered for use with a child
This part is the lid, and it has a safety-lock feature, designed to stay safe even if children play with it or it gets knocked over by accident. With a heated humidifier, safety comes first, second, and third!! I think safety matters most.

Filling and trying out the Sutimt humidifier
So, shall we use the Sutimt baby heated humidifier? Fill it with water to just below the MAX line, then close the lid.
I filmed this so you could see it more clearly. Close and turn the lid, making sure it is securely fitted until you hear a click.
You can operate it by hand, but you can also conveniently adjust it with the remote, so you do not even need to get close. So handy.

Sutimt has mist volume and humidity settings, a timer, and even a sleep mode!! It has only the functions that are truly convenient to have, without unnecessary extras.
You can set the steam volume to LOW or HIGH. I also love that the timer is so intuitive to set.

Refilling water while it is running
And this, this!! Even though it is a heated humidifier, you can add more water through the outlet. Unlike typical heated humidifiers, where you have to wait for them to cool, refill with fresh water, and start over, I love that you can add water right from the top.

It really takes about 12 minutes to come to a boil.

You can hear that lovely bubbling sound.

I tried photographing the steam, and it really adjusts the humidity with that moist, bubbling-boil feeling.

The low, wide-base design is another thing I love about the Sutimt baby heated humidifier. It feels like the ultimate heated humidifier, with so many thoughtful details.
When moving it, it even has a carrying handle designed to protect your wrist!! It really could not be anything but a baby heated humidifier made for moms.
