In short
Working Holiday Millak is an ocean-view brunch café on the 7th floor of the Badamaru (바다마루) building on Millaksubyeon-ro in Suyeong, Busan, with views of Gwangalli Beach and Gwangan Bridge. The writer, a regular since the café's first branch in Daeyeon-dong, visited at 10 am with her boyfriend and paid ₩45,500 for a salmon eggs Benedict on sourdough, a chicken sandwich with sweet pumpkin soup and a hot vanilla latte. After years of visits, the salmon eggs Benedict is still the best dish at Working Holiday Millak.

What kind of café is Working Holiday Millak?
Working Holiday Millak is a brunch café on the 7th floor of the Barmaru building in Gwangalli, and you can see both Gwangalli Beach and Gwangan Bridge from it. I really love this café, and funnily enough I found out about it from an American friend haha. I've been going since (I think) its first branch in Daeyeon-dong. Paid with my own money a million times over!!!
As far as I know, Working Holiday now has two branches in Gwangalli and one in Haeundae~ Today I went to the Millak branch, where you can see both Gwangalli Beach and Gwangan Bridge 😊

The entrance and how to order at Working Holiday Millak
The café is on the 7th floor, so the moment you step out of the elevator you see Gwangalli Beach. When you spot the sign, you've arrived, and I was startled by the sea spread out right there. You order at a kiosk.

Floor-to-ceiling ocean views, the terrace and the 10 am mood
The inside has floor-to-ceiling windows looking out at the sea, and I went at 10 am. I really love the view through those windows.
There's a terrace too, which looks nice for a day with a light breeze. The wind was so strong the day I went, haha, so we sat inside. The view is amazing.. I grab a seat first, then go order.

What did we order at Working Holiday Millak, and for how much?
We paid ₩45,500 in total: salmon eggs Benedict ₩21,000, a chicken sandwich with pumpkin soup ₩18,000 and a hot vanilla latte ₩6,500. The Working Holiday menu has so many brunch options that I always agonize haha. But I always end up ordering the Benedict!! I once brought Danish friends here and they loved it.
- Salmon Eggs Benedict ₩21,000 (sourdough)
- Chicken Sandwich with Soup ₩18,000 (pumpkin soup chosen over salad)
- Vanilla Latte (Hot) ₩6,500
- Total ₩45,500
With the weather this hot, quite a few people were having brunch with a beer in the daytime! We went with a hot vanilla latte~~ I wondered about just a plain latte, but my boyfriend loves vanilla lattes ^_^ Next time I'd like to try a latte or a flat white haha

Working Holiday Millak has lots of wines too. After you order, they hand you a buzzer. The owner is serious about coffee 👍 Water is in the middle of the café.

How was the hot vanilla latte?
The vanilla latte at Working Holiday Millak was smooth and tasty, and I think the milk was steamed well~~ After a short wait, brunch was ready!! The rosetta on top of the vanilla latte is so pretty, right? That's why I order it hot~~

The second the food arrived, I was like, this looks so good!!

Getting the food and the view in one photo is so hard..
The chicken sandwich with pumpkin soup
They told me the soup that comes with the chicken sandwich at Working Holiday Millak can be swapped for a salad, and I picked the pumpkin soup. This is sooo good•• You can really taste the pumpkin and the cheese in this soup 😍

The outside of the sandwich was nicely toasted. The chicken inside was tender and tasty too. With avocado and arugula in it, it feels like it might even be good for you haha
The salmon eggs Benedict, tried on sourdough
For the salmon eggs Benedict at Working Holiday Millak, you can choose croissant or sourdough as the bread, and I chose sourdough. The bread comes as one big piece, so it's easier to cut it in half to eat. It goes great with the tomato on the side!!

It's packed with salmon inside 😍 The chicken sandwich was good too, but the Benedict is still the best for me•• 🫶🏻 And this soft-boiled egg is seriously the best 🤤
A regular's verdict after years of visits
I've been coming to Working Holiday for years, so trust me and give it a visit!!! You won't regret it haha

If you're looking for a great brunch spot or ocean-view spot in Gwangalli, I recommend Working Holiday Millak 😍❤️
