What kind of tonkatsu restaurant is Hets Jeonpo Branch?

Hets Jeonpo Branch is the Jeonpo location of Hets, a place for tonkatsu around Seomyeon and Jeonpo. Today it's one of my absolute favorite foods! Let me introduce the tonkatsu hotspot Hets~ I visited the Suyeong branch once and it was so good that I recommended it to my friends too!! When I heard it opened in Jeonpo, I went while visiting Seomyeon.

It's still so good.. ㅠㅠㅠㅠㅠ Really juicy and tender!! The hygiene was top-notch too, haha. I think Tonsho is the most famous in Busan, and this is just as good!!! It keeps swapping back and forth between first and second place in my heart. It's a tonkatsu place I wish they had in Seoul too, haha. I'll explain the details below with photos-!

If you see this, you've arrived~ Hets Jeonpo Branch is on the main road side! It's a 5-minute walk from Jeonpo Station Exit 7 and about 10 minutes from Seomyeon Station Exit 6.

Visiting Hets Jeonpo Branch at closing time: how clean was it?

The restaurant is seriously spotless!!!!! I went almost at closing time, so I ended up being the last customer? Haha. I took this after finishing and it was sparkling, haha. They really scrub everything at closing!! They looked determined to wipe away every bit of grease,, 120 out of 100 for cleanliness 👍

Here's the table setup. Cutlery and a water bottle are at the top, and cups and sauces at the bottom. From the left: whole pepper, salad sauce, truffle oil and wasabi. They even take song requests~~~ Anyway, I spotted a poster on the wall??

Police officers, national merit recipients, soldiers, firefighters, high school seniors taking the exam and pregnant women can choose meat curry, 2 pieces of boneless karaage or a drink!!!

In winter it'd be handy to hang your coat on one side. There's a baby chair, so it seems good for visiting with kids.

At Hets Jeonpo Branch I ordered the YBD fillet katsu (₩15,000), the YBD loin katsu and the meat curry (₩3,000). Anyway, ordering!!! Here's the menu~

Ordered~~ Dongbaek-jeon works too!! I even got cashback 👀 I always order the fillet and the loin, haha. The curry is a must.. 🫶🏻

Even the water isn't just water. It tastes like it washes the grease away.

While waiting, I browsed the guide to eating it deliciously. For picnics, I recommend getting a sando (sandwich) to go!

Are rice, soup and silbi kimchi refillable at Hets Jeonpo Branch?

Hets Jeonpo Branch brings rice and soup first, and both can be refilled! If you ask, they also give you kimchi!! My boyfriend asked and got this kimchi~~ It can be refilled too.

How does the YBD fillet katsu at Hets Jeonpo Branch taste?

The YBD fillet katsu at Hets Jeonpo Branch is so, so, so tender that it just melts in your mouth ㅠㅠ My beloved fillet katsu 😍😍 Crispy outside, juicy inside, the very definition.

The coating isn't thick, yet it keeps the crunch. That rosy pink inside is insane..

How does the YBD loin katsu at Hets Jeonpo Branch taste?

Next up, the YBD loin katsu at Hets Jeonpo Branch~ A good mix of lean meat and fat makes it even tastier.

ㅠㅠ The juiciness is crazy

Hehehe, splitting half and half with my boyfriend~ Both the fillet and the loin are delicious, so if you go as a pair, share them like we did.

Best ways to eat tonkatsu at Hets Jeonpo Branch: wasabi, pink salt and truffle

Sprinkle on as much of the Hets Jeonpo Branch sauce as you like. It's kind of a corn sauce?? Not the fruit sauce I expected. But it's tasty, haha!

Start with the loin. I recommend eating the first bite plain!!! I took a photo of mine with wasabi on top~~ Add a sprinkle of the pink salt next to the salad and my favorite combo is complete. My boyfriend said the one with truffle sprinkled on was the best!

The meat is firm yet tender. It goes well with the sauce too ❤️

When you start getting tired of it, eating the kimchi resets your palate, hahaha. Ah, it's seriously so good!!!! 🤤🤤🤤🤤

Now the fillet katsu. Is this juiciness for real?

Is the ₩3,000 meat curry at Hets Jeonpo Branch worth adding?

The meat curry at Hets Jeonpo Branch is ₩3,000 and slightly spicy, which I liked even more. And there's a ridiculous amount of meat in it... For ₩3,000, that's great value, right?

Hehehe, I kept eating and cleaned the whole thing out~ I was happily full.
