The atmosphere of Woljeongri Galbibap, a converted house
Woljeongri Galbibap has been a beloved restaurant for a long time in Woljeong-ri, where the sea on Jeju's east coast is beautiful. Because it's a converted residence, the seats are slightly separated, so it never felt crowded or stuffy, and the interior was neat and tidy, so we could eat comfortably.
While waiting, I read a piece of paper on display and found out that this place doesn't just serve good food, it also gives back warmly. Based on the idea that "we exist because of our customers," they reportedly donated ₩100 million for children who miss meals in 2021. You can feel that the reason it's been loved for so long is not only the taste, but also its sincerity and gratitude toward customers.

The food is brought to your table by a serving robot, which was both convenient and a fun touch. After that, a staff member comes and explains the food.

Set B for two: what comes to the table?
We ordered Set B for two at Woljeongri Galbibap, and it came with half-and-half charcoal-grilled marinated pork, garlic butter abalone, marinated crab, seafood pajeon with 8 side dishes, rice and soup.

Scallop seafood pajeon and 8 side dishes
The pajeon, with scallops in it, is crisp and mild, and it comes with 8 small side dishes. The lineup seems to change a little with the season and ingredient supply, but each one was clean-tasting rather than strongly seasoned, so they went well with the main dishes.

Marinated crab made with domestic yellow crab
The marinated crab (yangnyeom gejang) in Set B is said to be made with domestic yellow crab. It looked spicy, but it was less intense than I expected, pleasantly sweet and a little hot, and I ate it with no trouble.

Start with the garlic butter abalone
The staff recommended eating the garlic butter abalone first. The golden-grilled abalone kept a chewy yet tender texture, and the rich butter and subtle garlic aroma made a combination that got my appetite going.

Half-and-half charcoal pork, aged for two days
At Woljeongri Galbibap, the charcoal-grilled pork is made by marinating Jeju pork in a special soy sauce they boil themselves, aging it in the refrigerator for two days, then grilling it over charcoal. The subtle smoky flavor lifts it, and the soy version is salty with only a gentle heat, nothing overwhelming, so anyone can enjoy it.

Wrap it in a leaf and eat it in one bite for a nicely balanced mouthful.

Clear soup
The soup served with the rice is a clear style, not greasy, with a refreshing broth that balanced the whole meal nicely.
