I went to Jejurowoon Cheonghaewon Seongsan Ilchulbong Branch (제주로운청해원 성산일출봉점) for braised cutlassfish near Seongsan Ilchulbong and Seopjikoji. My father and I ordered the A Set, and with braised cutlassfish, grilled tilefish, and pot-cooked rice, we both had a filling dinner.

Where is it, and is parking available?
The restaurant is at 101 Sinyang-ro in Seongsan-eup, Jeju. There is parking behind the restaurant, and local currency and ZeroPay can also be used. The original post lists its hours as 8:00 AM to 9:30 PM daily, with last orders at 9:00 PM.

How do you order the braised cutlassfish set?
One order per person is required, and set menus can be ordered for two or more people. Every set includes glutinous pot-cooked rice and soy sauce-marinated crab. You choose one soup dish: seafood stew or sea urchin seaweed soup.

What is it like for a meal with parents or children?
The exterior was neat, and the interior was spacious, with plenty of space between tables. It felt comfortable to eat there with my father. There was also group seating and high chairs.

The restaurant states that it serves 100% wild-caught Jeju cutlassfish. It also notes that, because the fish is line-caught, a fishing hook may occasionally be found. At the time of my visit, there was also a promotion offering Hallabong jelly for writing a Naver receipt review.

Aprons were available beside the counter.

What were the A Set price and actual contents?
First, six banchan (Korean side dishes) arrived, including corn salad, pickled onions, stir-fried fish cake, and napa cabbage kimchi. I ate the side dishes before the main dishes arrived.

The A Set I ordered was ₩48,000 for two. It came with braised cutlassfish, grilled tilefish, pot-cooked rice, soy sauce-marinated crab, and soup. I chose sea urchin seaweed soup. Since we could eat several different dishes and the portions were generous, I felt the set was good value for the price.

How did the braised cutlassfish and accompanying dishes taste?
The braised cutlassfish was simmered over a burner. The large, thick pieces of cutlassfish had absorbed a sweet and spicy sauce, and I did not notice any fishiness when I ate it. I mixed the deboned flesh and the reduced sauce into my rice. My father also finished a whole bowl of rice.

The grilled tilefish was crisp outside and moist inside. Its salty flavor went well with the pot-cooked rice. The sea urchin seaweed soup contained sea urchin roe, giving the broth a nutty flavor, and it refreshed my palate alongside the braised cutlassfish.

For the pot-cooked rice, I transferred the rice to a bowl, poured hot water into the pot, and ate the scorched rice at the end. The portion felt large enough for three people to me, and my father and I both finished our meal feeling full.
How was continuing on to a Seopjikoji walk after the meal?
I ate here at around 6 PM before going to Seopjikoji. It had been hot during the day, but when I walked around Seopjikoji as the sun began to set after dinner, it was cool. Having a hearty dinner before continuing on to a walk worked well.
