Don't you sometimes want a breath of fresh air and a relaxed cup of coffee away from the daily routine? The weather has been lovely lately and the air is clear, so I went for a drive with my parents to Forerest. The space is big and comfortable, and the coffee and desserts were great too, so this Uijeongbu café really satisfied me.

What kind of café is Forerest in Uijeongbu?
Forerest is a large café on Nogyang-ro in Uijeongbu, and as the name suggests, its charm is a atmosphere that blends in with nature. It's a convenient spot for an easy drive out of Seoul, and it seems to be popular for weekend outings.

Parking and space for gatherings
Forerest has a large parking area, so getting there by car was easy. Inside, there are many kinds of seating and spaces, so it looked fine for family gatherings, friends or even bigger groups.

The green scenery through the floor-to-ceiling windows and the relaxed mood made me feel healed from the moment I walked in. I can see why so many people recommend it as a date course in Uijeongbu.

How many terrace seats does Forerest have?
Once you're inside Forerest, there are seats in all sorts of spaces. There are only 3 terrace seats, so they're popular, haha.

How does the coffee at Forerest taste?
Forerest's coffee reportedly uses a blend of 4 specialty beans, blended after roasting. It's not just a café with a nice atmosphere. The beans are said to be made with flavor balance and harmony with desserts in mind, and the aroma and flavor of the coffee were very smooth and well balanced.

Decaf coffee and organic tea
Forerest also has decaf coffee for people sensitive to caffeine. Unlike typical decaf, the deep flavor of the beans still comes through, so I think people will be happy with it.

Besides coffee, there's a variety of carefully selected organic teas, so you can choose to your taste, which I liked.

Apple ade and vanilla latte
The apple ade at Forerest was fresh and sweet too, so I'd recommend it to people like me who order ade at cafés!!

Maybe because premium beans are used, this vanilla latte had a real coffee-bean flavor.

How is the Basque cheesecake at Forerest?
Forerest's signature item is the Basque cheesecake, said to be aged in the fridge for 16 hours. Dessert is one of the biggest reasons I like Forerest, and the cake quality is so good that the title of best cake spot in Uijeongbu doesn't feel like too much.

The signature Basque cheesecake goes through a whole 16 hours of chilled aging, they say. Maybe that's why the cheese flavor was rich and the texture really smooth. I tried the original Basque cheesecake, and it's gluten-free, so you can enjoy it without worry, which I found appealing.
A drive café in Uijeongbu for parents or a partner
This time I visited Forerest with my parents, but I thought it would be really nice with a partner too. With its large, comfortable space, coffee with a view of nature and tasty desserts, it holds up as a date course in Uijeongbu. It's also an easy drive from Seoul, so I'd recommend it to anyone looking for a drive course.

In busy days like these, I think taking a short break really matters. Forerest is a large, comfortable café in Uijeongbu where you can enjoy coffee and dessert together, which made it even more satisfying. The coffee from specialty beans and the cheesecake they age themselves were so impressive that I'm already thinking about them again. If you're looking for a weekend outing spot, I recommend Forerest, an Uijeongbu café that's great with family or a partner.
