Daejeon café with indoor parking and a 2F kiosk: Luonto Sutonggol

With the weather so nice lately, I've been hunting for somewhere new to go every weekend haha. This time I headed out to Sutonggol for some fresh air after a while away. Sutonggol has a lot of great restaurants and pretty cafés, so it's a perfect course to grab a meal and then hit up a café. This time I visited Luonto Sutonggol Branch.

Where is Luonto Sutonggol Branch, and when is it open?

I found this place while looking for a big café near Sutonggol, and even though it looked fairly large in photos, it was even bigger in person — I was surprised. Coming through the alley, the café comes into view, and true to a large café, the entrance was spacious too.

First-floor seating and the dessert display at Luonto

This is the first floor after parking. Luonto Sutonggol Branch has three floors total, and even the ground floor had plenty of tables and lots of room. The seating overall is split into several separate areas, so it's good for chatting and also good for relaxing and spending time comfortably.

Luonto's signature desserts — chimney bread, cookies, organic rice crackers — were all on display. There were snacks for kids as well as treats for adults.

Luonto's menu and ordering — venue rentals available too

This is Luonto's menu board. Looking near the bottom, it turns out that besides being a café, they also rent out the space for outdoor weddings and first-birthday parties (doljanchi). While we were there, someone came in to ask about booking a wedding.

One menu item per person is required! They also let you pick your bean of choice for coffee. We don't drink coffee so we skipped that part.

The open kitchen looked nice and hygienic. Once you're done, you return your dishes at the return counter beside it.

Second-floor seats, the 2F kiosk and the outdoor terrace

After ordering, we headed up to the second floor to find a seat!

This is the overall interior of the second floor. The tables aren't cramped together, and there are plenty of tables and chairs, so it looks like it could handle a group easily. It's not just a row of tables — each area has a slightly different mood, so there's fun in finding the seat you like best haha. When you go to a café, the drinks matter, but so does whether the atmosphere makes you want to stay a while, and Luonto Sutonggol Branch's relaxed overall vibe really won me over on that front.

The restrooms are on the second floor. They're separated by gender, so easy to use.

You can order from a kiosk on the second floor too. This was the first time I'd seen a kiosk on a different floor from the main one — it's really convenient not to have to go back down to the first floor to order more. It's this kind of small detail that shows the owner's thoughtfulness. Since the space doubles as a wedding hall, there was even a projector. Near the restroom entrance there was also a bookshelf stocked with various books.

There are outdoor terraces on both the second and third floors — this one is the second-floor terrace. Since the café also hosts outdoor weddings, the terrace is set up like a wedding venue. It was cloudy the day I visited, but I bet it's gorgeous getting married here on a sunny day~~😊 This is the overall vibe of the second-floor outdoor space.

What is on Luonto's third floor?

The outdoor space can be used until 8 p.m. I went up to the third floor too — the view was better on the second floor, and the third floor seemed more suited to group seating.

There was also a door leading outside from the third floor, though no dedicated outdoor seating was set up there — it just seemed like a nice spot for photos.

How do the cinnamon chimney bread and drinks taste?

Finally our drinks and bread arrived. It took a little while since we'd ordered chimney bread, but not longer than expected. We had:

Finger gloves for eating chimney bread? At first they came stuck together as two, and I thought they were defective hygiene gloves lol.

A really huge chimney bread!! I've actually had chimney bread at another café before, but Luonto's was way bigger~! And the texture was crispy outside and chewy inside, which made it even tastier. It's good on its own, but they also give you whipped cream to go with it, which made it even better. We tore into it and it disappeared in no time!

Lemonade and Jeju matcha latte. Both drinks were delicious, and the lemonade was refreshing enough to pair perfectly with the chimney bread.

Is parking easy at Luonto Sutonggol Branch?

There's already plenty of parking with both an indoor and outdoor lot, but the indoor lot in particular had quite a lot of spaces!! The parking area connects directly to the café, which made things really convenient.

Especially on nice-weather days like these, being able to use the outdoor space instead of staying cooped up inside the whole time makes for a much less stuffy visit, so I recommend it. Next time I'll try some other desserts, and on an even nicer day I'd like to relax outside. If you're looking for a good meal followed by a café with a great atmosphere to unwind in at Sutonggol, I highly recommend Luonto Sutonggol Branch. It's especially great if you love large cafés or want to enjoy some time in an open, airy space 👍👍
