Why we went back to Chat Baker after Anseong Farmland
Chat Baker is a bakery café near Anseong Farmland where you can enjoy roomy seating and a wide choice of bread, which is why we came back. After our Anseong Farmland outing we were looking for somewhere to rest for a bit, so we returned to Chat Baker.

On our last visit, the spacious, comfortable space and the wide range of bakery items stuck in my memory. This time we came as a group and picked four drinks and four kinds of bread to share.
Finding Chat Baker: the bright light-green building
Chat Baker's light green exterior stands out even from far away. The big Chat Baker sign across the front of the building makes it easy to find, even for first-timers.

Is Chat Baker roomy enough for a group?
There are seats on both the 1st and 2nd floors, so there was plenty of room for families or a bigger group to stay a while. The first things you notice when you walk in are the high ceiling and the wide-open space.

The white-toned interior is paired with wood furniture, so it felt warm and clean at the same time. Big windows let in natural light, so the whole café felt bright and not stuffy, which I liked. Every spot has a different mood, so you can relax on a sofa seat or enjoy your bread and drinks comfortably at a table.
What breads does Chat Baker sell?
The display case had a wide range, from salt bread to cream bread, pizza bread, hotteok (Korean filled pancake) and loaf breads. Sweet and salty breads were laid out in a good mix, so it was easy to choose by taste.

Each bread had a name and price label, which made checking the options easy, and choosing was fun too.
What our group ordered to share at Chat Baker
For drinks, we ordered two Yeoksam Tiger coffees, one iced matcha latte and one iced strawberry milk latte. For bread, we picked condensed milk cream salt bread, basil tomato hotteok, sausage pizza bread and Shanghai butter tteok (rice cake).

We mixed sweet breads with meal-style breads, which made it great for sharing.
Condensed milk cream salt bread topped with powdered sugar
The condensed milk cream salt bread was a sweet-style salt bread with cream inside. It was dusted with powdered sugar on top, so it looked really appetizing.

You get soft cream and bread together, and with a cold coffee the sweetness wasn't overwhelming, so it worked well as a dessert.
Basil tomato hotteok: a savory, not-too-sweet meal bread
Unlike the usual sweet hotteok, the basil tomato hotteok was closer to a meal bread. The outside was baked golden brown, and the basil and tomato came together for a flavor that was familiar yet different.

It was a generous size, so it suited sharing a little at a time among several people.
Sausage pizza bread: a safe pick for kids
The sausage pizza bread was topped with sausage and cheese, so anyone could eat it easily. Plenty of cheese and sauce made it look hearty too.

It was fine as a simple meal replacement, and if you're visiting with children I'd recommend it as a safe choice.
Shanghai butter tteok: a small, rich side to share
The Shanghai butter tteok felt a little different in shape and texture from the other breads. It came packaged in a small size, so it was easy to eat by hand.

It wasn't heavy alongside the other breads. If you like nutty, mild flavors, it's worth picking up once.
Yeoksam-dong Tiger, Chat Baker's signature coffee, and lattes
Yeoksam Tiger is Chat Baker's signature coffee and stood out on the menu board. It's a cold coffee, so it went well with the sweet condensed milk cream salt bread and the cheese-topped sausage pizza bread.

The matcha latte had matcha flavor in smooth milk and was nice to sip slowly. The strawberry milk latte had a strawberry base visible at the bottom, and it was sweet once stirred well. People who don't drink coffee can pick a latte, which makes it good for visiting in a group.
Is Chat Baker worth revisiting after Anseong Farmland?
Coming back and choosing several kinds of bread to share, I felt even more how wide the menu choice is. Last time, the big space and the variety of bakery items were what I remembered most.

From the sweet condensed milk cream salt bread to the hearty sausage pizza bread, you can choose to taste, which suits a group visit. The café is large with varied seating, so it was also comfortable to rest and enjoy bread and drinks slowly.
If you want a café near Anseong Farmland where you can enjoy a big space and a variety of bread together, drop by Chat Baker. It's a great place to rest with bread and drinks after an Anseong outing, and it stayed in my memory as a café I'd like to visit again.
