I work from home, but a lot of days I end up working outside. And there's one place I keep coming back to: Selecto Coffee Sinnonhyeon Branch.
Where is Selecto Coffee Sinnonhyeon Branch, and where do you park?
It's a 3-minute walk from Exit 1 of Sinnonhyeon Station, so it's easy to reach by public transport!! If you're driving, I recommend the nearby Eongubi public parking lot.

Is this 24-hour café near Sinnonhyeon Station open at night too?
Yes. It's a café by day and an unmanned café at night, open 24 hours. You can check the hours on the sign right on the outer wall.

When I suddenly want to work at dawn, or can't focus late at night, it's so reassuring to know I can come any time. Study cafés feel stuffy to me, so for people who love working in cafés like I do, I recommend this 24-hour Sinnonhyeon café, Selecto!

You order at the kiosk you see as soon as you walk in. It's the same kiosk when the café runs unmanned at night, so coming alone is no hassle at all.
Are there good seats for laptop work?
There are wide window seats, solo seats and sofa seats, with a wood-and-white interior. Every seat has its own outlet, so working on a laptop is super easy.

See that? The person working alone with a laptop open. I often sit just like that. At a study café you pay and watch the clock, but at Selecto one coffee lets you sit without feeling anyone's eyes on you. There are solo seats and sofa seats, so you can even pick a spot to match your mood that day!

Cushioned backrest sofa seats that stay comfortable for hours
White cushioned sofas on wooden frames are lined up like this. They're really comfortable to sit in. The backrest cushions mean your back hurts less even after sitting a long time.
How much is the menu at Selecto Coffee Sinnonhyeon Branch? (Sandwiches, no questions asked)
An americano here is ₩3,800. The coffee price is really kind! An americano for ₩3,800 with a space like this!!

The refrigerated shelf is packed with sandwiches like this.

- Chicken sandwich ₩7,000
- Smoked salmon sandwich ₩8,500
- Perky cheese sandwich ₩7,500
Seeing the prices made me like it even more. For the Gangnam area, these prices are really on the kind side.

There are also bagels, cake slices and bagel chips, so both a quick meal and a snack are covered. Coffee + sandwich + dessert, all in one place, you could say!
What I ordered: hot and iced americano and a chicken sandwich
This day I ordered a hot americano, an iced americano and a chicken sandwich at Selecto Coffee Sinnonhyeon Branch. Ta-da!

- Hot americano (in a mug)
- Iced americano (in a Selecto glass)
- Chicken sandwich
Serving on an orange tray is part of the Selecto vibe, and it photographs nicely too.

I almost forgot to take a photo and downed the hot americano in one go haha. This is a close-up of the hot americano. It comes in a white mug, with a rich bean aroma and just the right amount of bitterness.
Since Selecto runs on a choose-your-beans concept, the coffee quality is really good. I drank both the iced and the hot, and both were delicious, and with the sandwich it was a perfect combination.
Overall verdict on Selecto Coffee Sinnonhyeon Branch
Selecto Coffee Sinnonhyeon Branch has all four: clean interior, low prices, 24-hour hours, and tasty coffee and sandwiches. A café like this is rare. If you're hunting for a café near Sinnonhyeon Station, just come to Selecto. Once you try it, you'll probably become a regular like me, right??
