Parking around Brewers Coffee Cheonan Sinbu Branch is a bit difficult, as it is in much of Sinbu-dong. Brewers Coffee Cheonan Sinbu Branch, famous for baked goods

Brewers Coffee baked goods can sell out by afternoon

Brewers Coffee Cheonan Sinbu Branch is famous for its baked goods as much as its coffee. Even on weekdays, the baked goods are often gone if you come in the afternoon.

I liked the baked goods on my first visit, and that's why I've kept coming back a number of times. This time, after a long gap, there was still a nice variety on offer.

Variety of baked goods prepared at Brewers Coffee

Brewers Coffee canelé, madeleine and financier flavors

4 canelé flavors and a thicker flan

The canelés (small French custard cakes with a caramelized crust) came in original, matcha, Earl Grey and pistachio, so there seemed to be a bit more variety than before. I personally love pistachio, so this time I picked the pistachio canelé. The flan also felt a little thicker than before.

New madeleine: pistachio espresso

The existing madeleines were all still there: lemon, salt crunch, crème brûlée and almond choco. This time there was also a new pistachio espresso madeleine.

7 financier flavors at Brewers Coffee

The financiers (small almond butter cakes) also came in a wide range of flavors: salty caramel, Dubai choco, butter bar, nunettine, plain, apple Earl Grey and vanilla macadamia. Financier lovers can easily pick to suit their taste.

The 5 Brewers Coffee baked goods chosen that day

The 5 baked goods I picked, plus gift wrapping

After some deliberation, I bought 5 items at Brewers Coffee that day.

  • Pistachio canelé
  • Salt choco chip madeleine
  • Pistachio espresso madeleine
  • Almond choco madeleine
  • Vanilla macadamia financier

At Brewers Coffee in Sinbu-dong, if you add ₩2,000 when buying baked goods, they'll wrap them in a pretty gift package. I've bought them as gifts a few times, and everyone loved them.

Brewers Coffee baked goods to eat at home with americano

Today I bought them to eat myself, so I skipped the package wrapping and ate them at home with an americano.

Brewers Coffee pistachio canelé
Canelé covered in crushed pistachio

How does the Brewers Coffee pistachio canelé taste?

The pistachio canelé is covered all over with crushed pistachio, and the texture was properly crisp outside and moist inside. It was the item I was looking forward to most. With the canelé's crisp shell plus nutty pistachio, a rich, toasty flavor rushes up as you chew.

The inside was moist and soft, so that crisp-outside, tender-inside texture really came through. Crisp shell, soft and moist center, plus the nuttiness of pistachio: I especially enjoyed it. If you like pistachio, it's worth picking.

3 madeleines and the vanilla macadamia financier: taste notes

The pistachio espresso madeleine was a menu item I saw for the first time on this visit, so I picked it out of curiosity, and with coffee the pairing was really good. The almond choco madeleine is an easy, tasty choice if you like chocolate-type baked goods.

Brewers Coffee madeleines

In the salt choco chip madeleine, salt added to sweet chocolate gives a sweet-and-salty effect that makes the sweetness feel more layered. Lastly, the vanilla macadamia financier has big chunks of macadamia inside, so you really feel the nutty crunch with every bite. The chocolate flavor on the surface and the rich, large macadamia chewed together, so both texture and taste go well.

Back at Brewers Coffee after a long break: what changed?

At Brewers Coffee Cheonan Sinbu Branch, there are a few more canelé flavors and a new madeleine, so picking baked goods felt even more fun. The baked goods were good on my first visit and have always stuck in my memory. Above all, noticeably more people come than on my first visit, which makes me think good places do get recognized.

Among what I tried this time, these three stood out most.

  • Pistachio canelé ⭐
  • Pistachio espresso madeleine ⭐
  • Vanilla macadamia financier ⭐

Of course it depends on taste, but if you like pistachio, you might use the combination I picked this time as a reference.
