This is a salt bread bakery I found while stopping by Danyang Market during a trip to Danyang.
It's located right inside the market, so it wasn't hard to find at all, and it was a great snack stop while browsing. If you're looking for a good bakery near Danyang Market, this one's worth keeping in mind.
Especially if you're a salt bread addict, you have to stop by! It's seriously good haha.

I tend to prefer plain bread over bread stuffed with cream or jam, so I like salt bread. Since this was my first visit, I wanted to try a variety of flavors, so I picked Set 1 and Set 2.
Rather than getting several pieces of just one kind, this let me try a bit of each flavor, which was a good option for a first visit.

What I was most curious about was the black garlic salt bread! Since Danyang is famous for garlic, I wondered what a salt bread with black garlic in it would taste like.
I expected a strong garlic smell or a sharp taste since it's black garlic, but it was much milder than I thought. There was a gentle sweetness distinctive to black garlic that paired well with the salty flavor of the bread, and above all, the sweetness level was just right.
It wasn't so sweet that it felt like a dessert, and the black garlic flavor wasn't too strong either, so it was easy to eat without feeling like too much.
In the end I packed two sets to try: one set of 4 plain salt breads, and another set with one garlic salt bread, one black garlic salt bread, and two plain salt breads.

Personally, if you like unusual flavors, I'd recommend the black garlic salt bread. It felt like something you can only get in Danyang, and the combination of black garlic and salt bread worked better than I expected.
