My hair is pretty frizzy and half-curly, so I get a straightening perm ("magic") once or twice a year. My cooldown was up and summer was coming, so I went for volume magic at Momentium, a hair salon in Suseong, Daegu ♥ Momentium is run by one stylist, so ⭐ reservations are a must ⭐.

Momentium is about a 5-minute walk from Manchon Station Exit 3. I came by public transport, but if you're driving, use a nearby public parking lot! 🅿️

Inside there are 3–4 styling chairs and a waiting area. It felt clean and tidy, so I could relax during the treatment 💗

Cut, then the straightening solution

At Momentium the cut comes first, then the straightening solution goes on. The owner applied it carefully while keeping up an easy conversation! I'm not great at small talk, but it never felt awkward, so the time didn't drag > <

Heat treatment and a shampoo chair with a massage function

After the solution was on, she used a heat machine so it would take well in my hair. Then she checked my hair and sent me to the shampoo room, where...

Thanks to her shampoo skills my scalp felt amazing, but the shampoo chair also has a massage function, so my whole body relaxed too, haha! It was my first time in a salon with a massage chair and I loved it so so much ♪(^∇^*)

Straightening the curls and finishing with a C-curl

She carefully straightened my wavy curls section by section ⌯≖◡≖⌯ಣ

Since this was volume magic, she curled the ends into a C-curl, haha!

A bit of curl left after neutralizing, and the owner redid it

After the neutralizing step, the owner checked the result, spotted one section that was still slightly wavy, and redid just that part. Honestly it was barely noticeable and I'd have been fine leaving it, but she took extra time to redo it ㅠㅠ♥ Seeing her check even tiny details to the end made me trust her even more,,,,(❁´◡`❁)

Volume magic after: how did it turn out?

After volume magic at Momentium my hair was definitely calmer, and the volume still looks natural!! So silky,,,

My hair is quite curly, so even after magic a slightly wavy bit sometimes remains, and I really trusted the owner for catching even a small thing like that..💗 I also liked that she kept some volume instead of making my hair stick flat to my head (. ❛ ᴗ ❛.)
