Dufftown Burger was a place my eyes were naturally drawn to every time I passed by on Jeonpo Sai-gil, just from its exterior! It was always packed with customers, so I always wondered what it tasted like — and I finally made the time to go, haha.

The Instagram-worthy vibe hits you right from the entrance, lol. True to Jeonpo form, the slightly hip, unique atmosphere naturally made me stop in my tracks. The entrance is pretty enough that it's a great spot to snap a quick photo!

Stepping inside, it felt even hipper!? Packed with kitschy props and design art, it felt like walking into a small burger joint in America.

Is Dufftown good for a Jeonpo date or eating alone?

With good vibes and good music, Dufftown Burger seemed like a great spot for a date. At the same time, the layout is comfortable enough that dining alone for a meal doesn't feel awkward at all!

There were so many burger options that I agonized for a while before ordering the best-selling patty melt burger! I added chili cheese fries to go with the burger, plus a cold cola as a set. They also sell cold draft beer, which would go great as a light pairing in the evening 👍

Not long after ordering, the warm patty melt burger arrived. Instead of a round burger bun, it used golden-toasted rye bread, and the look of it was so pretty. Jalapeños and pickles came alongside, which were great to add in!

Checking out the cross-section, it was stuffed generously with ingredients and looked so appetizing 🥹🥹🤍 Melted, savory cheese and caramelized onions filled every gap. The layered colors of the ingredients were so pretty that just looking at it made my mouth water...

Dufftown Burger's thick patty comes medium by default, keeping its juicy, rich flavor intact! I especially loved how the gently sweet caramelized onions, without being overpowering, softly anchored the overall flavor. The savoriness of the patty combined with the richness of the cheese was really appealing.

Above all, the rye bread itself was so good that it was delicious even eaten on its own. Most places use soft buns, so having none here made this burger feel even more special! If you stop by Dufftown, I'd definitely recommend trying it 💗

Chili cheese fries: crisp, cheesy and a little spicy

I ordered chili cheese fries as a side to go with the burger. The set comes with a half size, but I was surprised at how generous the portion was!

Scooping up a big spoonful of fries, they were generously coated in thick chili sauce and cheese. The freshly fried potatoes — crisp outside, soft inside — paired with the slightly spicy chili sauce cut right through the burger's richness. A fantastic side dish, and I bet it'd be amazing with beer too.

Dr Pepper, the drink that makes the Dufftown set

I personally love Dr Pepper, but it's hard to find, so that's always a bummer. Finding it at Dufftown made me genuinely happy. Pouring it over the ice cup they provided and drinking it down, it was so cool and refreshing that it paired perfectly with the burger 💛👍
