Stone-plate Korean BBQ near Yadang Station, Paju: Camping Garden
In short
Camping Garden Gogirang Jogaerang Paju Yadang is a camping-themed Korean BBQ and clam grill restaurant a one-minute walk from Exit 3 of Yadang Station in Paju, Gyeonggi. On a rainy weekend lunch, the writer grilled a 59,000-won meat set on a stone plate and added a 5,000-won doenjang jjigae (soybean paste stew) and 10,000-won whole-squid ramen; the meat was fresh, and the pork skin and the tteokgalbi (grilled minced short rib patty) with soybean powder stood out. With 2 hours of free parking, a self-serve side dish bar, baby chairs and a blanket zone, Camping Garden is a solid Yadang BBQ pick for family meals with kids.

Where is Camping Garden Gogirang Jogaerang Paju Yadang?
Camping Garden Gogirang Jogaerang Paju Yadang is just a one-minute walk from Exit 3 of Yadang Station, so it's super easy to get to! I'd walked past it and thought, what a curious restaurant, and then a good opportunity came up and I finally got to visit ~!

How does parking work at Camping Garden in Yadang?
About 3 seconds' walk ahead from Camping Garden there's a lot with 2 hours of free parking. Go a bit further, turn right, then turn left, and you can get into the lot easily! I loved that there's a dedicated lot too! They cover 2 hours of parking, so we didn't pay anything! hehehe

Was there a wait on a rainy weekend lunch?
I visited Camping Garden Paju Yadang on a rainy weekend lunch, and there was no wait! Felt like the rain actually worked in our favor!! They also have steamed blue crab and webfoot octopus (jjukkumi)... I wish I'd tried them, so sad haha
Clam tank
I'm not really a clam person, but there was a tank so I took a photo! 🐚 It's been a while since I saw something like this, so it was fun. Let's go to the aquarium (?)

Table ordering and arcade machines
You can order the menu easily at the table, and there were arcade machines too, which was nice hehe. I've reached the age where I look at arcade machines and feel nothing, sigh haha..

Side dishes and sauces at the self-serve bar
Unusually, the side dishes (banchan) and sauces are all self-serve here!! They don't bring basic sides at the start! But I actually like this better! It feels like less food gets thrown away~! They do bring the spoon and chopstick box. Tongs, scissors and everything are all in one place, which was handy.
How much is the Camping Garden meat set, and how does it taste?
The meat set at Camping Garden Paju Yadang is ₩59,000, and you grill it yourself on a stone plate. Getting ready to put the meat on the plate. My excitement was already 10000x9999 at this point! There was foil(?), which gave it even more of a camping vibe haha

Time to grill! The color of the meat was so good! The price is ₩59,000! Thinking back now, it was so fresh and delicious.

Grilling the meat hard, and the garlic too. The meat here was so good.. anyway, I grilled it nice and crispy~! My favorite was the pork skin (gnipdegi)!! hehe
Cutting it up diligently! While grilling I really felt like going on a real camping trip.. sob. Gotta go soon ~! 🏕️⛺

Lettuce wraps with kimchi
Wrapping the meat in lettuce! Eating it wrapped in veggies is the best. The combo with kimchi was my favorite haha

How were the doenjang jjigae and whole-squid ramen?
The doenjang jjigae (soybean paste stew) at Camping Garden is ₩5,000, and it had meat, zucchini, tofu and lots of other stuff! I liked getting a bit of everything, and it was nicely salty, hehe. The seasoning felt just right!

The whole-squid ramen is ₩10,000. We ordered it to share, and I loved that there was squid in it! It reminded me of squid jjamppong (spicy seafood noodles) 🦑 You can eat all the squid you want in this ramen!
Round two: tteokgalbi, galbi-sal and sausage
Grilling the leftover tteokgalbi (grilled short rib patty), galbi-sal (rib meat) and sausage. Kimchi too!!!! hehe The galbi-sal was tasty too. I think it was beef!

Tteokgalbi with soybean powder: recommended
Tteokgalbi with soybean powder (konggaru) is a pretty good combo haha! I recommend it! Nutty and delicious!

Is Camping Garden good for kids?
The inside of Camping Garden Paju Yadang was nicely decorated in a camping style, and there was a blanket zone where kids can rest. They had fans too, great thoughtfulness! The Pororo doll was cute too haha

There were baby chairs too, so it looks like a good place to bring little ones! There are a lot of no-kids zones these days, but this place felt like it welcomed kids.
