Central Site is the only cafe I keep going back to in Yeonnam-dong. The combo of hand-drip coffee and tiramisu is just perfect, ugh. The vibe is great, the service is great... honestly if you're looking for a really good hand-drip cafe, this is the one I'd recommend. Kind of feels like a place I want to keep to myself, haha 😗

Where Central Site Yeonnam is and how to get there
Central Site Yeonnam is about a 10-minute walk from Exit 3 of Hongik University Station, or if you're taking the bus, get off at 'Yeonhui-dong Daewoo Apartment' — it's basically a 3-minute walk from there!
Central Site Yeonnam has three floors, and walking in, I noticed quite a few foreign customers too.
Drip bags and desserts at the entrance
They sell Central Site drip bags right at the entrance too. The packaging makes it perfect for gifting. This cafe has over 10 types of hand-drip coffee, and the coffee is so good that buying some to brew at home seems like a great idea too.
They also have cookies and tiramisu cake. You absolutely have to try Central Site's classic tiramisu. There's a Lotus tiramisu too, but the classic wins as always. There's also a strawberry trifle, which is a British-style dessert!
Watching the hand-drip at the first-floor bar
There's a bar area on the 1st floor of Central Site Yeonnam, and if you order there, you can watch them brew your hand-drip coffee right in front of you!
Besides hand-drip, they have espresso drinks too. Honestly, everything here seems like it'd be delicious no matter what you order. And on top of that, the staff are so kind.
I went with the SUMMER SPECIAL FRUITY COLOMBIA bean I picked. They grind it and let you smell it before brewing, and I got a little drunk off that fragrant aroma.
Watching the barista brew my coffee by hand right in front of me was such a treat for the eyes. Thank you for making my coffee with such care.
Second-floor window bar seats and the third-floor rooftop
Heading up to the 2nd floor of Central Site Yeonnam, there's a proper cafe space. There are bar seats where you can enjoy coffee while looking out through the floor-to-ceiling windows. I left my bag there and went off to explore the rest of the place.
There are also several group tables great for chatting. The restroom is on the 2nd floor too, and it's unisex! It was kept pretty clean so there was no discomfort using it, haha.
Head up to the 3rd floor and you'll find the rooftop space. This spot feels more suited to winter, honestly. In summer, I think the greener vibe of the 2nd floor is the better choice, hahaha.
Water, cups, and napkins are all set up on the 2nd floor. Once you order coffee and dessert and head upstairs, a staff member brings it right to your table!
How the Geisha hand-drip and Classic Tiramisu taste
Today's order: Geisha hand-drip coffee and classic tiramisu.
The classic tiramisu was seriously amazing. True to being the signature dessert, it looks incredibly appetizing, and the cream layer is super thick. Cocoa powder and chocolate are sprinkled right on top of that thick cream layer.
It lifts so easily with a fork — that's how soft it is! If you're looking for a soft tiramisu, this is one anyone would love. The mascarpone cream is sweet and nutty without being heavy at all.
What is the SUMMER SPECIAL FRUITY COLOMBIA bean?
The brewing hand-drip coffee, SUMMER SPECIAL FRUITY COLOMBIA. I ordered based on the staff's recommendation — normally I prefer low-acidity coffee, but this time I went with a bean that felt more fitting for summer, bright and refreshing.
Colombia Cauca Paraiso 92 Geisha PO6 anaerobic fermentation. They said the notable flavor notes are rose, peach syrup, elderflower, cherry, mangosteen, and violet. They even gave me a description card to read, which was nice.
They use a large square ice cube, which doesn't melt quickly, so you can enjoy it cold for a while. That first sip filled my mouth with such a fragrant burst — even I, who usually likes coffee without acidity, was completely won over.
Best of all, it went perfectly with the moist tiramisu 🤎 The sponge is thoroughly soaked in espresso, and I don't think any dessert lover could dislike that. Had a great time :) If you're looking for hand-drip coffee in Yeonnam-dong, definitely visit Central Site Yeonnam and pair it with the tiramisu.
