A visit to Hojueseo on Hoejeon Chobap in Mundok, Pohang
Today, I went out for conveyor-belt sushi with my husband for the first time in ages~ Since I’m pregnant, I do need to be careful with raw food, but we’d heard that Hojueseo on Hoejeon Chobap (호주에서 온 회전초밥) in Mundok was fresh, so we decided to visit for dinner together :)
Hojueseo on Hoejeon Chobap
Apparently, there’s no break time on weekends-! I thought that might be helpful for anyone planning a visit *^^*

This popular sushi spot in Mundok, Pohang, Hojueseo on Hoejeon Chobap, has an outdoor parking lot, which was super convenient. Even though we arrived a little after dinner time, there were still quite a few guests in the restaurant~!

What are the waiting area and seating like?
I hear this popular sushi place even gets a wait during peak hours-! Hojueseo on Hoejeon Chobap has an indoor waiting zone, too. They even have massage chairs, haha. I don’t think you’d have to worry about waiting in the heat of summer or the cold of winter.

Here’s what it looks like inside Hojueseo on Hoejeon Chobap. It seemed like counter seats were usually for parties of two, while groups of three or more were assigned to four-person tables~ Even families should be able to enjoy sushi together, since the restaurant is quite spacious!

Tips for rail sushi and tablet ordering
We were shown to our seats at the counter, and all kinds of sushi were passing by on the rail. Everything looked so delicious at a glance that I didn’t know what to eat first ㅎ_ㅎ
Here’s a tip for enjoying Hojueseo on Hoejeon Chobap!!! If the sushi you want isn’t on the rail, you can order from the tablet at your seat without having to call a staff member!!!!! It was honestly so convenient~~~ haha. There are so many types of sushi, so it would be a good idea to scroll through the tablet and make your picks, too~
So much sushi passing by on the rail.. Which sushi will make its way into my belly? Haha. The rail had not only sushi but desserts like pudding and fruit (watermelon, melon, and pineapple). And every plate at Hojueseo on Hoejeon Chobap costs ₩2,200!!!!!!!!! Now I’ll show you the sushi my husband and I enjoyed-!

Big futomaki and roll sushi
First up is the sushi I ate-! I tried the shrimp roll and futomaki (thick sushi roll), and wow... Hojueseo on Hoejeon Chobap is a roll specialist!!!!! The rolls were seriously delicious, haha. They also had California rolls, and they were amazingly good >< ! Can you see the size of that futomaki!? It was so huge there was absolutely no way to eat it in one bite~

I’d been craving inari sushi, tteokgalbi sushi, and egg sushi for days, so I tried those too-! The inari sushi was lightly grilled on the outside, and it was really delicious! The tteokgalbi sushi had that totally irresistible, rice-disappearing flavor.. So good!! The sauce drizzled over the egg sushi was Buldak sauce, so I loved it because I like spicy food!! Haha.

The salmon and meat sushi my husband chose
Let me show you the sushi my husband chose, too~ Yukhoe (seasoned raw beef) sushi and salmon sushi! My husband said, “The salmon sushi here is seriously so good..!!!!” The thick salmon had no fishy smell, and he said it was really delicious with a squeeze of lemon juice!

These are abalone sushi, wagyu sushi, and onion bossam sushi. The abalone sushi had one whole, very large abalone on top, and the meat on the wagyu sushi was incredibly tender! They didn’t skimp on the meat in the onion bossam sushi either~

We also thoroughly enjoyed menbosha (fried shrimp toast) and karaage, haha. Maybe we were hungry because we went after work, but we ended up with 27 plates between the two of us-!!!!!!!!!!
