Seongsu burger restaurant with kids' meals and craft beer: Bas Burger
In short
Bas Burger Seongsu is a burger restaurant in Seongsu, Seoul, serving kids’ burger sets, handcrafted burgers, and craft beer. My picky 6-year-old finished the whole Teriyaki Mayo Kids Burger Set, while the spicy chicken burger and Chili Mozza Cheese Bar stood out. Verdict: a solid family dining pick when everyone wants something different.

While wondering what to eat with the kids over the weekend, I found myself craving a handcrafted burger for the first time in ages, so we went to Bas Burger Seongsu, a popular spot near Seoul Forest. But you know the little dilemma when taking kids to a handcrafted burger place, right? For adults, a burger with cola or beer is perfect, but quite a few places do not really have anything suitable for kids. This one has a separate kids’ burger set, so off we went—two adults and two kids together!!

Wow... it had been a while since we ate out somewhere with such a nice atmosphere! We came for an early dinner because the kids are still little, but why is the vibe here so good?
Munching on potato chips while we wait for the food

And while you wait after ordering, you can have complimentary potato chips.

But these are not just chips you eat because they are free—they are genuinely delicious, haha. When you are waiting for food with kids, the “Mom, when is it coming?” questions are bound to start. But they could quietly wait while picking at chips one by one, which was great. I kept reaching for them before the burgers had even arrived.
Bas Burger Seongsu was great with kids

We ordered the Bas Burger Set for ₩12,100, the Teriyaki Mayo Kids Burger Set for ₩9,400, a Chicken Burger for ₩8,700, craft beer for ₩3,900, and a Chili Mozza Cheese Bar for ₩3,700.

Of the burgers in the photo, the one on the bottom is the kids’ burger! The one on top is the Bas Burger! Many handcrafted burger places do not have a separate kids’ menu, so I already loved that Bas Burger has a kids’ set.!

What is more, the kids’ set comes with a children’s drink instead of a fizzy drink. It was so convenient to simply order one proper meal for the child without wondering whether to pick out and share the non-spicy parts of an adult meal.
A Bas Burger with strong fundamentals

My husband ordered the Bas Burger, and after one bite, my immediate thought was that it felt like a handcrafted burger with really solid fundamentals. Rather than being overloaded with ingredients for an aggressively bold flavor, it was a delicious burger that stayed true to the basics. The kind of flavor that would easily come to mind whenever you are craving a handcrafted burger, you know?

And the fries!! I pay quite a bit of attention to fries when I go to a burger place, and these were wonderfully crisp outside and moist inside. One bite of burger, one fry—I just kept reaching for more.
Chicken Burger with a shishito pepper spicy sauce kick

I ordered the Chicken Burger, and you can choose either spicy or non-spicy tartar sauce. I went spicy!! The chicken itself was crispy outside and juicy inside, and the shishito pepper spicy sauce inside went so well with it.

If it had only been a crispy chicken burger, it might have felt a little ordinary, but this sauce made it really memorable. That slight spicy note keeps it from feeling greasy and makes you want to keep eating. We tried both the Bas Burger and the Chicken Burger, and since they are such different styles, I think they would be great to order together and share.
The kids’ burger my picky 6-year-old finished
And the thing I loved most at Bas Burger near Seoul Forest: the kids’ burger!

My oldest is 6 and a picky eater, so it is not often that she finishes an entire meal when we eat out. But she finished the kids’ burger that day, haha. From a mom’s perspective, is there a more convincing review than that? At ₩9,400 with a children’s drink included, it was a pretty good option when going out for handcrafted burgers with kids. I loved not having to worry about what to order for the child after going somewhere for the adults’ food cravings.
Craft beer you can sample before choosing

And there has to be something for Mom and Dad too, haha. You cannot leave out beer with burgers, so we ordered craft beer as well.

What I liked here was that you can sample the craft beer options before choosing. Craft beers all taste different, so sometimes you cannot tell what suits your taste just by looking at a menu, right? It was nice to be able to taste them first and decide.

And the craft beer I chose was really delicious too. One bite of burger, one sip of beer. It is hard for this combination to go wrong.
The real standout was the Chili Mozza Cheese Bar
And there was one menu item that unexpectedly stayed with me the most that day... the Chili Mozza Cheese Bar.

This was totally my style... spicy and addictive in that way that keeps you reaching for more, and it went incredibly well with the craft beer too.!! I went for burgers and completely fell for a side dish instead, haha. At ₩3,700, I think I would order this again next time.
Chicken and beer on the outdoor seating

Bas Burger Seongsu also has outdoor seats and sells chicken dishes. In cool fall weather like this, it would be so nice to sit outside with chicken and a beer.

We went for burgers with the kids that day, but next time I would love to try chicken and beer outside. If you are looking for a handcrafted burger restaurant in Seongsu that you can visit with kids, keep Bas Burger Seongsu in mind!
