It's about a 15-minute walk from Hwanggeum Station on Daegu Subway Line 3, and if you take the bus, get off at the Deulan-gil Intersection stop and it's a 1-minute walk, so public transport access is good too. The salon is on the 2nd floor of the big, stylish Lee Ji-eun Wedding Gallery building, so it wasn't hard to find.
There's a dedicated parking lot, so free parking was really convenient, which is rare in Suseong.
I took the elevator up to the 2nd floor. Yeojin Hair Atelier is also a designated excellent scalp care center in Daegu! They're running a 2nd-anniversary thank-you event too, I was told.

Inside Yeojin Hair Atelier: the atmosphere
The moment you walk in, it feels less like a hair salon and more like a high-end gallery.
The ivory and beige tones feel cozy, and the waiting area in the middle is so luxurious that you actually feel treated like a VIP.
On the left as you enter is Cellvio, the scalp care center.
On the right is the hair salon area where the hair treatments happen.
Among the trendy spaces there are also lovely framed pieces with a touch of Korean beauty, which add a refined, classical mood.

Before the actual treatment, they gave me a drink and nut snacks, which was so nice.
I filled out a questionnaire about my usual shampoo habits and scalp care, and then had a short chat about the style I wanted.

Before: shaggy sides and back
As time passed after my last cut and perm, my hair had grown shaggy and messy.
The back and sides were puffing up too, and I could just tell it was time to tidy up. So I decided to get a down perm from the manager at Yeojin Hair Atelier.
They started with a clean cut. (Oh, and the gowns at Yeojin Hair Atelier let you slip your arms out during treatment, which made using my phone super easy.)
Even with just the cut, it already felt a lot neater.
Scalp protector
Right before the down perm, they carefully sprayed a scalp protector to protect my scalp.
Down perm and setting a semi-curly fringe
The down perm went on the sides and back. My fringe has some damaged hair and is semi-curly, so they gave it care treatment and then a setting to straighten it out neatly.
Private shampoo room and Dyson dryer
After the down perm solution was applied and I waited a while, I moved to the private shampoo space for a clean shampoo and rinse.
Then they dried my hair fluffy and dry with a high-end Dyson dryer. Apparently it's especially important to dry hair thoroughly after a down perm.
Ta-da! Totally transformed and so neat!

My shaggy, messy hair got completely tidy after the down perm from the manager at Yeojin Hair Atelier.
It looks neat from the side too, and I liked that.
They were so careful and put in real effort with the treatment, which made it even better.
