I found a conveyor sushi place that's tastier than most salmon specialists! And it's only ₩1,890 a plate. Let me introduce Teukbyeolhan Chobap (특별한 초밥), Yeongtong branch, a Yeongtong conveyor sushi favorite.

Where is Teukbyeolhan Chobap Yeongtong, and what are its hours and parking?
Teukbyeolhan Chobap Yeongtong is open from 11:30 a.m. to 10 p.m., with a break from 3 p.m. to 5 p.m. You can park in the building's underground car park.

It's on the 2nd floor of the Classia building! It's right by the Yeongtong Station shopping district, so it's easy to reach, and the building has an underground car park, so parking is easy too. The restaurant gives you a parking ticket separately!

Sushi bar or table: how seating and ordering work
Inside, there are bar seats (dacchi-seok) where you pick sushi off the conveyor, and table seats! The bar has around 16 seats, and dividers split them up, so even though they're side by side, each seat feels clearly separate.
At the tables, you order on the kiosk and the food is served to you! The bar seats fill first, and then people are guided to the tables, but it's such a popular place with waiting lines that the tables fill up too!

There were coat hooks and a hanger rack inside! In winter you can hang up thick coats too, so you can eat comfortably.

How much do 16 plates cost, and what comes free?
This day I ate 16 plates at Teukbyeolhan Chobap Yeongtong, and ₩1,890 × 16 plates = ₩30,240 total.

The table had pickled scallions (rakkyo), ginger and soy sauce! Soup (jangguk) and fresh wasabi come as standard, and the wasabi is real fresh wasabi, so it went really well with the sushi. The soup is refillable!
Ordering sushi that isn't on the conveyor belt from the chef
There were all kinds of sushi going around on the rail at Teukbyeolhan Chobap Yeongtong. The variety is huge, and the best part is that if something isn't on the rail, you can order it from the chef in front of you and they'll make it right away! A lot of items aren't on the rail, so do order from the chef! You can even order 3 plates at a time!

Plates of many different kinds of sushi were circling on the rail, and freshly made ones kept getting put on, so the fish was really fresh!

What I ate at Teukbyeolhan Chobap Yeongtong
Salmon sushi: six plates at minimum
When I come to Teukbyeolhan Chobap Yeongtong, six plates of salmon is the baseline. This place is a salmon specialist, after all. The salmon is in great condition, and the fat and flesh are distributed so harmoniously that you could come just for the salmon! I think I always eat at least six plates.

Shrimp egg steak sushi with a sweet-salty special sauce
The shrimp egg steak is one piece per plate, but I ordered two at once and they put them on a single plate! After salmon it's the thing I eat every time, because I know I'll want more! Egg on the rice, shrimp on the egg, and special sauce on top! The sauce is a sweet-and-salty combo, so there's no way I can skip it.

Egg steak sushi that changed my mind about sushi-bar egg
Anyone who never understood people who order egg at a sushi place? That's me. Yes, that was me. But what is it about the egg at Teukbyeolhan Chobap Yeongtong that's so good? It made me think of egg as a must-order, I swear..? It's not just any egg: eat the silky-soft egg together with the sauce on top and, wow, you instantly get why people eat egg!

Flounder sushi sliced to order on the spot
I ordered flounder and they sliced it right there on the spot, so thoughtful! That's why the sushi was so fresh and tasty. This is why you should order! The flounder wasn't tough, and its distinctive sweetness met the rice beautifully!
Shrimp cheese roll: 2 pieces per plate
Shrimp on the roll, cheese on the shrimp. Wow, and this is only ₩1,890? Getting 2 pieces per plate alone makes this a great-value conveyor sushi spot! The ingredients at Teukbyeolhan Chobap Yeongtong are good, and the sauces are tasty too. They vary the sauce for each type of sushi, so the sauce and ingredient pairings were great for making each one taste even better!
Red shrimp sushi: thick and slightly sweet
The red shrimp (hongsaewoo) is thick, mildly sweet and rich! The shrimp is big, so when you eat it in one bite the shrimp juice bursts out, which goes nicely with the rice. There was no fishy smell, so you can tell the shrimp is fresh!

Flounder fin sushi: the longest sushi I've ever had
Wow, I've never seen sushi with a fin this long. Oily and crunchy to chew is what a fin is known for! Of course there was no fishy smell at all, and even though it's a cut you only get a little of, the piece is big, so it's worth eating!

Other sushi on the conveyor belt
There's also orange, octopus with aged kimchi, beef tartare roll, cuttlefish, shime saba (vinegared mackerel), beef tartare sushi and more going around the rail! Just pick what you like. Every plate is ₩1,890, so eat from the rail or look at the menu and order directly from the chef, who'll make it right away!
