Seosan conveyor-belt sushi restaurant: 21 plates at Mikado Sushi

Today, I met up with my older sister for the first time in ages and went to Mikado Sushi in Seosan, a conveyor-belt sushi place that hasn't been open for long~~ It's always full or has a wait. We went at weekday lunch and could eat right away, but it was almost completely full..

There was also a waiting area inside, and if you register through Catchtable, it tells you the live wait status~ It's essential on weekends and public holidays..!! If you park in the restaurant's dedicated lot, you need to register your parking! There are lots of curbside spots behind the building, but I remember there never being any spaces back there..ㅠ_ㅠ It's a Seosan Love Gift Certificate affiliate, so keep that in mind.

Every plate is ₩2,100: counter seats and tables for four

At Mikado Sushi Seosan, every plate is ₩2,100! It's a conveyor-belt sushi restaurant where you can eat at a great fixed price. Maybe because it opened recently, the whole place was clean and comfortable. There were Japanese-style individual counter seats and regular tables for four. At the regular tables, the person seated on the outside has a hard time reaching the sushi, so I recommend those if you're visiting with family—and otherwise, I definitely recommend the counter seats!!

Menu and counter-seat partitions

This was the menu. There are quite a lot of options, right? Buckwheat soba, udon (with adjustable spice level), and tonkotsu ramen need to be ordered separately from the staff.

At conveyor-belt sushi places, having people packed right beside you at the counter can make eating feel awkward and uncomfortable, but these counter seats had partitions. They set up a partition for each person at the table, and it was surprisingly convenient haha.

They bring the soup to you separately, and pickled scallions were at every seat, but the pickled chili peppers and ginger travel around on the belt, so you have to look carefully!!

From salmon to shrimp and yukhoe sushi

First, we started with salmon~~ haha. At conveyor-belt sushi restaurants, sushi made in advance can lose moisture, but Mikado Sushi has such fast turnover that they make it again and again really quickly.

Now for shrimp~~ Seasoned shrimp sushi with a savory kick, and shrimp-and-egg sushi—we had two plates of that one!!

For sushi that isn't on the belt, write it on a note and give it to a staff member; they'll make it quickly. Especially if you order fried items, they're freshly fried right away and so crispy and delicious. I didn't get a photo, but.. I highly recommend the fried squid!!

Yukhoe sushi piled high with yukhoe (Korean seasoned raw beef), and yukhoe salmon sushi! They also have a seared yukhoe version, so you really have to try the yukhoe sushi~~

The beef belly sushi and shrimp sushi were sneakily delicious. Actually, this was my nth visit to Mikado Sushi.. haha. I have kind of a kid's palate, so I always end up eating only what I usually eat.

Melon and Kinder Joy desserts, then 21 plates

For dessert, there were melon, oranges, cake slices, and Kinder Joy. The last time I came, I had the melon, and it was so delicious. Personally, I highly, highly recommend the melon for dessert! This time, my older sister and I got one Kinder Joy each~~

I think I understand why kids love Kinder Joy so much.. It's tasty and comes with a toy too haha. We got Rapunzel and Spider-Man! I took them home for my son.

My older sister and I ate 21 plates in total. ₩44,100! We were absolutely stuffed haha. When we went during weekday lunch, there were quite a few people eating alone too. Mikado Sushi Seosan is a great-value conveyor-belt sushi restaurant. I highly recommend coming with family, friends, or your partner!!
