Goyang Korean restaurant for haejangguk and dombe pork: Jeju Eunhui-ne
In short
Jeju Eunhui-ne Haejangguk Goyang Samsong Branch is a Korean restaurant in Goyang, Gyeonggi, beside Starfield Goyang. I tried haejangguk without seonji, plus an intestines soup and dombe pork set, and loved the refreshing broth mixed with dadaegi and the aromatic pork. Verdict: a great walkable dinner stop after shopping at Starfield Goyang.

Jeju Eunhui-ne Haejangguk is famous even in Jeju. I have not visited the Jeju location, but I had heard the name so many times. When I visited Starfield Goyang again after a while, I found it right in front of the exit by Daiso, so it was perfect for a meal after looking around Starfield.
Jeju Eunhui-ne Haejangguk right beside Starfield Goyang
The restaurant is on the first floor of the e-Pyeonhansesang City Samsong building right next to Starfield. It has floor-to-ceiling windows, so you can see straight inside from outdoors, and the sign is easy to spot.

Outside, there was a standing sign introducing haejangguk and dombe pork.
Inside and things to know before ordering

The interior is quite clean and spacious. Hours are Monday 10:00–15:30, Tuesday through Friday 10:00–22:00, and Saturday through Sunday 09:00–22:00. There was a map of Jeju and pictures and descriptions of the menu items on the wall.

Here are the wall menu and notices. Extra bowls of rice and broth are free, and you can leave out dadaegi (spicy seasoning paste) or seonji (congealed ox blood). I cannot eat seonji, so I was relieved that it could be omitted. But perhaps people do not eat it much—everyone ordering seemed to leave out the seonji.

There were lots of menus and autographs posted near the entrance, which made me think, wow, this must be a famous restaurant. Oh, and the staff were extremely kind, which was nice.

Prices for haejangguk, intestines soup, and à la carte dishes
Haejangguk is ₩12,000, beef intestines soup is ₩13,000, small dombe pork is ₩13,000 (120g), and medium dombe pork is ₩24,000 (240g). This is the menu posted on the wall. As you would expect from a Samsong haejangguk favorite, there are not many different menu items.
The haejangguk contains beef brisket and shank, seonji, bean sprouts, and ugeoji (dried napa cabbage greens), while the intestines soup contains beef tripe. Large dombe pork is 360g for ₩35,000. Dressed tripe and squid mulhoe (cold raw-fish soup) are ₩16,000 each as sides, and seonji soup can also be ordered separately for ₩3,000. Hallasan is ₩6,000, while soju, beer, and makgeolli are ₩5,000. Rice is free when each person orders a meal.

Haejangguk plus dombe pork is ₩20,000, intestines soup plus dombe pork is ₩20,000, squid mulhoe plus dombe pork is ₩24,000, and small dombe pork plus dressed tripe is ₩20,000. Each table has a separate set-menu card. There are four sets, each with 80g of dombe pork.

Each table has small plates, paper cups, and a kimchi container.

The kimchi is kkakdugi (cubed radish kimchi), which goes well with the intestines soup and haejangguk, and peppers and ssamjang are served alongside it. The radish cubes in the kkakdugi are quite thick.
Tasting the haejangguk, intestines soup, and dombe pork sets

The dombe pork from the set arrived first on a wooden board. I have had dombe pork a few times in Jeju, and it looked similar. Its deep color gave me the same feeling as the pork I had seen in Jeju.

I put a slice of pork on lettuce and dipped it lightly in meljeot (salted anchovy sauce). The pork was wonderfully aromatic and delicious.
I took a photo of the full spread.

Intestines soup set with plenty of beef tripe
The beef intestines soup set was ₩20,000. It is intestines soup with beef tripe, and there was a huge amount of tripe in it. It looks clear, but dadaegi is mixed in underneath, so it is slightly spicy.

Haejangguk without seonji
The haejangguk was ₩12,000. It contains meat and glass noodles. I left out the seonji, and there was lots of meat.

There is dadaegi inside, and when you stir it in, the broth turns red like this. The broth was so refreshing and delicious that I could see why it is famous. I was looking for dinner near Starfield Goyang and found delicious Samsong haejangguk. It tastes just like what I had in Jeju, and it is easy to walk to after grocery shopping at Starfield Goyang. Just cross the crosswalk and you are there. It gets busy at dinner, so I recommend going a little early.
