Daejeon restaurant for pork ribs and rosé pasta: Plate Dunsan

I stopped by Plate Dunsan Branch (플레이트 둔산점) for dinner while I was in Dunsan-dong! I was looking for a good pasta place near Daejeon Galleria and found this one, where pasta starts at ₩10,900! With plenty besides pasta—steak, pork ribs, and pizza—it looked great for a family meal or a Dunsan-dong date course too :)

It is on the second floor at 34 Dunsan-ro 31beon-gil, Seo-gu, Daejeon. Hours are 11:00–21:45.

The calm, modern interior did not feel closed in thanks to the floor-to-ceiling windows, and the tables were nicely spaced, so it was comfortable for a meal. I would recommend it for making a special day feel a little more special too 💛 Since it is close to Galleria, it is also well located for continuing on to dinner after shopping or a date.

Plate Dunsan Branch had such a wide range of menu choices. Pasta in particular starts at ₩10,900, so it did not feel too expensive. Ordering a set also includes soup, bread, and salad, so if you are visiting with several people, the set is a nice option too.

The salad had vegetables, corn, tomatoes, and more, making it nice to eat between the main dishes.

How were the 500 g signature pork ribs?

The dish that caught my eye most as soon as it came to the table was the 500 g signature pork ribs! They arrived in one big piece, so the presentation was spot-on from the start 〰️ The outside was grilled with a rich coating of sauce, and they looked appetizing before I had even taken a bite.

Tender meat with that sweet, savory, rich sauce that pork ribs are known for! The 500 g portion was generous too 😋 Pairing it with the grilled vegetables and mustard that came alongside cut through the richness, so I could enjoy it deliciously to the very end. 👍🏻👍🏻

It was pure tenderness, so I think it would be easy to eat even when visiting with children, haha.

Farfalle meatball pasta and creamy rosé

For the classic meatball pasta, I chose farfalle, the bow-shaped pasta! I highly recommend it if you love the deep savory flavor of tomato and meat 🥰 If you are visiting with several people, it would be nice to order different dishes and share them too.

Both the meatballs and pasta were thoroughly coated in sauce, making this such a delicious dish, haha.

The pasta I chose with the pork ribs was creamy rosé pasta. It came with plenty of sauce, and the cream flavor was rich, nutty, thick, and smooth.

Personally, I thought the sweet, rich flavor of the pork ribs went so well with the creamy rosé pasta, so I would recommend this set combination!
