I went on a weekend outing to Anseong with my kid and stopped by Chat Baker Brunch & Bakery Café, famous as an Anseong Gongdo brunch café. It's one of Anseong's large cafés at over 500 pyeong, and a great place for brunch before heading to Anseong Farm Land.

The sign up top is big, so it was easy to find, and it sits right along Seodong-daero heading toward Anseong IC — good for a rest stop or breakfast on a weekend outing with kids like ours.
True to Anseong's large-café style, there was plenty of parking. We visited at noon on a Sunday and still had no trouble parking.

The Chat Baker store is split across 1st and 2nd floors, with a separate floor-seating area. Even though it was fully booked for weekend lunch, the high ceilings and wide table spacing kept it quiet enough to talk comfortably.
True to Anseong's large-café style, the space is divided between the 1st and 2nd floors. The table arrangements are varied and plentiful, though it was fully seated for weekend lunch.
The roominess of the space makes it a nice Anseong Gongdo café to just rest in.
There's also floor seating, which is great for visiting with young kids.
You can feel the care put into every part of the interior — it feels quite upscale.
The table layout and variety mean it's a space you wouldn't get tired of even visiting often.
Above all, even with this many guests, the high ceilings and wide table spacing kept the noise down, making it comfortable to talk.
There's a lot to do in Anseong with kids, so this is a good spot to stop for lunch or just for a cup of tea to rest.

Chat Baker's brunch menu was reasonably priced for the look and taste, and there were plenty of bingsu (shaved ice dessert) options too. We came early for lunch, so every type of bread was still available.
We stopped by for lunch before heading to our accommodation. The prices were reasonable given the presentation and taste. There are plenty of bingsu options too, perfect for cooling off in summer.

What we ordered at Chat Baker was the panne bacon cream pasta for 20,800 won and the mushroom perilla oil pasta for 17,800 won. The panne had a very rich cream sauce, while the perilla oil pasta had that familiar taste of perilla leaf (kkaennip) fragrance wrapped in nutty perilla oil.

This is the panne pasta I sometimes crave and order.
The cream sauce is really rich. The saltiness of the bacon pairs well with the nutty cream sauce! The bread is freshly baked too, with a subtle bread aroma that's a nice touch. The sauce was so good I dipped the bread in it and finished it all.
This is the perilla oil pasta I ordered as something a bit different. It's a taste wrapped in the subtle fragrance of perilla leaf and the nutty flavor of perilla oil — nutty enough that it's a familiar taste even for older folks, so it's easy to order for a group. I'd recommend it to anyone wanting something unusual or different.
Today we stopped at a spot near Anseong Farm Land for brunch before heading to our accommodation, and rested a while. Among Anseong Gongdo cafés, this is one of the large Anseong cafés with a wide bakery selection, so it's great for bread lovers, and the roominess of the space makes it healing to just be in.
