A date-worthy spot near Sungsimdang in Daeheung-dong—today, I thought I’d introduce Burgiz Daeheung, which is hot as a Daejeon date spot. Did you know a new handmade burger place opened near Sungsimdang? It’s an American-style handmade burger restaurant that reminds you of the burgers you ate abroad. I really wanted to tell you all about it.

Today I visited Burgiz Daeheung, a handmade burger favorite seven minutes from Sungsimdang. It was already a popular handmade burger place at its other locations before opening in Daeheung-dong. I especially love the Hangover burger, so I was happy I can now have it nearby in Daeheung-dong too!!

The generous butter in the bun gives it a buttery aroma and crispness—that’s the kick‼️ Since it’s the most basic menu item, it feels nice and light to eat.

It comes with fried mushrooms and mozzarella cheese, while caramelized onions add a gentle sweetness. Unlike the other burgers, the bun was fluffy and easy to get down in one go♥️

The regular-thickness grilled patty gave me both Maillard browning and juiciness! And because the patty’s beefy aroma isn’t too strong, the mushroom fragrance gently lingered in my mouth, which I secretly loved?! 👉👈

I do usually love the Hangover, but after trying the Godfather this time, I understood why it’s a popular menu item. It has a rich flavor and the ingredients work so well together—it was much more delicious than I expected. / It’s a perfectly tasty handmade burger that doesn’t stray from familiar flavors, and the firm pickles make the texture top-notch too‼️

A handmade burger I want to return for in Daeheung-dong

I usually love handmade burgers and go around trying them here and there. Burgiz Daeheung had that proper American-burger feel overall, which I loved! The buns were soft yet crisp? I loved that feeling so much, and the sauces and ingredients didn’t stick out too strongly. The ingredients’ flavors come through clearly overall, and it feels true to the burger itself, so it’s also great for a light meal ^^ I want to try other menu items next time too. I think I’ll revisit whenever I crave a handmade burger in Daeheung-dong. Personally, it was a more satisfying meal than I expected.
