Cleansing balm for oily-dehydrated skin: HEEDA Charcoal Balm

Why did oily-dehydrated skin look for a cleansing balm?

Nose sebum and blackheads were especially on my mind during summer. I wanted to avoid a squeaky-clean wash, so instead of foam cleanser, I decided to try a balm or milk cleanser and used this one mainly around my nose.

What are the texture and feel like?

It is a black balm formula, used by scooping it out with the included stick. It scooped out more softly than I expected and melted quickly when it met the warmth of my hands. It felt soft like whipped cream to me, and it did not leave much oiliness or residue after use.

How did my nose feel after cleansing sebum and blackheads?

After cleansing my nose, I could see that sebum had come out, and my skin surface felt smoother. Even after using it the previous day, sebum was visible again the next day, so I did not feel that one cleanse keeps sebum away for good.

Did it remove makeup in one go, too?

When the author used it, it removed even dark eyeshadow and eyeliner in one go. I finished cleansing with this product alone, and my impression was that it washed cleanly without severe tightness, even without double cleansing.

Which skin types did it suit?

I felt it could suit people like me who are concerned with both oily skin and the tightness of oily-dehydrated skin. Skin reactions vary by person, though, so when using it for the first time, it is best to pay attention to your own skin condition.
