Daegu rooftop wedding hall with a sand ceremony: Stadium Convention
In short
Stadium Convention Wedding is a standalone wedding hall in Suseong, Daegu, running just two halls: a 3rd-floor rooftop outdoor venue and a 2nd-floor indoor hall. The author and her husband found Stadium Convention Wedding at a wedding fair and held their own wedding there, experiencing the rooftop ceremony under a large tent that opens and folds, a sand ceremony, a bridal room decorated with fresh flowers and a buffet cooked in-house that even features a whole tuna. For couples who care most about guest meals and an uncrowded standalone hall, Stadium Convention Wedding is a Daegu venue worth considering.

We only found this out by going through it ourselves, but when you first start preparing for a wedding, you realize there's a lot more to do than you expected 😏 Unlike appliances, furniture or a studio photo shoot, which are just for the two of you, a wedding hall is where you host both families, relatives and guests, so you have to be extra careful. Surprisingly, a lot of people in Daegu don't know about a standalone wedding hall that also offers an outdoor ceremony, so I wanted to recommend one.
Is there a standalone outdoor wedding hall in Daegu? Stadium Convention Wedding's 3rd-floor rooftop
Stadium Convention Wedding is a wedding hall in Suseong, Daegu, where you can have a standalone outdoor ceremony on the 3rd-floor rooftop. It's also where we got married, and honestly, we didn't know a place like this existed until we went to a wedding fair 🙄 It wasn't on our original list of halls, but we loved that it offered an outdoor ceremony in a standalone hall, so we ended up signing the contract!

Some of you might feel like you've seen it somewhere. It turns out this is the place that appeared in the episode of I Live Alone (Naho Honja Sanda) where an announcer hosted a wedding in Daegu?! What stuck with me when I watched it on TV was the outdoor ceremony after sunset. Back then we weren't even dating yet, so I never imagined we'd get married here 🤣

What happens to a rooftop wedding on a rainy or hot day?
The outdoor ceremony at Stadium Convention Wedding is held on the 3rd-floor rooftop, so you get an open feeling and an unusual atmosphere that's very different from an indoor wedding. I worried about what would happen if it was too hot or rained, but they open or fold a large tent depending on the weather 😊 By the way, since it's an outdoor ceremony, they do a sand ceremony instead of the traditional candle lighting (hwachok jeomhwa)~

Where are the bridal room and parents' seating?
The 3rd-floor bridal room at Stadium Convention Wedding is right behind the virgin road, so the bride can set off straight from it. It's decorated with fresh flowers, and the bride and the people who came to take photos with her all loved the soft floral scent. (It's easy for the bride, but the parents' seating is on the 2nd floor, so the groom may be busy running back and forth for rehearsals and so on 🤭)

What is the 2nd-floor indoor hall at Stadium Convention Wedding like?
Stadium Convention Wedding has just two halls, one each on the 2nd and 3rd floors. Compared with wedding venues that have several halls on every floor, it doesn't get too crowded, which I think is a big plus.

The 2nd-floor indoor hall was newly remodeled the year before last, and it now has a Disney-princess feel~ The indoor and outdoor halls each have clear pros and cons, so just pick whichever suits your taste, right? 👰🤵♂️
Is the Stadium Convention Wedding buffet good for guests?
Apart from the groom, the bride and the parents, what guests remember most about a wedding is the parking and the food. (A new one lately is apparently the groom's looks 😂) When you look for a venue you go on wedding hall tours, and once you sign the final contract you usually get another chance to look around with both mothers~

We also took our mothers to look around Stadium Convention Wedding before the wedding, and they said the food was really good, so it's a pass without question.

Salad, sushi and mains: all made in-house except the rice cakes
The buffet at Stadium Convention Wedding is split into three main parts: salad, sushi and main dishes. They say everything except the rice cakes (tteok) is made in-house with no frozen products, so you can sense the standard, right?

It felt like there were more kitchen staff making the food than at other wedding halls, which I think shows how much care goes into prepping ingredients and cooking.

A whole tuna, rarely seen at a wedding buffet
What really caught people's eyes at the Stadium Convention Wedding buffet was the seafood. They even had a whole tuna, which you won't see at any other wedding buffet, so if you love raw fish, you might find yourself reaching for soju right away.. 🥰
Which couples should choose Stadium Convention Wedding?
It's a once-in-a-lifetime wedding, so there's a lot to think about. If, after looking around carefully, you say, 'For us, food and parking matter most!', I recommend giving Stadium Convention Wedding in Daegu some thought 🤗
