Seomyeon lash salon: 80% JC-curl LED extensions, Almond Eyelashes
In short
Almond Eyelashes is a lash extension and lash lift salon near Beomil Station in Busanjin, Busan. To avoid the overdone "rich Chinese lady" look, the writer consulted the owner and got JC-curl LED extensions on only about 80% of her lashes, at 10mm in the center and 8–9mm at the front and back, and despite sensitive eyes felt almost no stinging during the treatment. If you want natural, understated lash extensions, a consultation at Almond Eyelashes is a good place to start.

I go back and forth between lash perms and extensions, and this time I decided to get extensions for the first time in a while. The thing is, I've always had the same worry with extensions. If I go dark black, it looks way too heavy, and if I get greedy with the length, I end up with the so-called (?) "rich Chinese lady" look.
So this time I wanted something really natural and soft, and I went looking for a place that does thorough consultations. That's how I ended up at Almond Eyelashes (아몬드속눈썹) near Beomil Station.

Where is Almond Eyelashes near Beomil Station, and is there parking?
Almond Eyelashes is about a 5-minute walk from Beomil Station, on the 2nd floor of a building along Beomil-ro in Busanjin-gu. For parking, they say 1 hour is covered if you use the Gold Tower parking lot.
It's close to a bus stop and right on the main road, so it wasn't hard to find. I came by car this time, but I thought next time I could just take the bus.

Inside Almond Eyelashes: spacious and tidy
The inside of Almond Eyelashes was bigger and tidier than I expected. A notice said high oil price support vouchers and Dongbaek Pay (Dongbaek-jeon, Busan's local currency card) can be used.
It felt relaxed enough to wait before the treatment, and everything was neat and well kept, so it was a comfortable place to be.

How did the consultation for natural lash extensions go?
The owner checked my lash length (about 10mm) and suggested a design: 10mm in the center, 8–9mm at the front and back, blended naturally, with only about 80% of the lashes extended. I really think the design consultation matters a lot with extensions. A design other people think is pretty isn't necessarily pretty on me.
So I told her about all my past extension disasters (?) too.
- Black is too intense and doesn't suit me / I prefer dark brown
- I want a natural look / I don't want a style that's too long
The owner looked at my lashes one by one and explained that the overall length is about 10mm. So we decided to make the longest middle part 10mm, blend the front and back at about 8–9mm, and extend only about 80% rather than filling everything in. The consultation was careful and detailed, which put me at ease.

Do LED lash extensions sting sensitive eyes?
The treatment I got at Almond Eyelashes this time was JC curl + LED extensions, and even with my sensitive eyes, I felt almost no stinging during the treatment. This was actually my first time with LED extensions.
But what surprised me most... was how fast the owner's hands were! I thought she was still working, and it was already done.
And the best part of LED extensions: no stinging at all. My eyes are pretty sensitive, so they often water or sting during treatments. This time there was almost none, which felt kind of amazing.
Ah... so that's why everyone gets LED extensions.
The result: natural JC-curl lashes, no "rich Chinese lady" look
The 80% JC-curl extensions at Almond Eyelashes looked defined from far away and not overdone up close, just natural. My first thought when I looked in the mirror afterward: "Wow... I didn't turn into a rich Chinese lady. Success!"
Some people think extensions have to be glamorous, but I think natural extensions are much harder to pull off. I asked the owner for something really natural and soft, and it came out exactly the way I wanted. Defined from afar, but natural and not overdone even up close.

Next time: trying 11mm lash extensions
The longest part was 10mm, but I felt slightly longer would have been fine too. That's not the owner's doing, though. I chose to go shorter, so next time I'd like to try about 11mm at the longest part.
Still, since I was aiming for a natural style this time, I was really happy with the result.

Almond Eyelashes review: who is this Seomyeon lash salon for?
Do you find a lash perm alone a bit lacking, but heavy extensions too much? If you want natural lash extensions like me, a consultation at Almond Eyelashes is worth trying.
The consultation was thorough, the LED extensions meant almost no stinging, and above all the natural mood I wanted came through, so I was very satisfied. If you're searching for a lash salon near Beomil Station or lash extensions in Seomyeon, Busan, have a look.
