I visited Moshi Moshi PNU Branch (모시모시 부산대점) because I wanted sushi near Pusan National University. Along with sushi, I could choose salmon jang (marinated salmon), albap (fish roe rice), and udon, so it was easy to order when everyone wanted something different.

How far is it from Pusan National University Station, and is parking available?

The restaurant is on the first floor at 271-5 Geumgang-ro, Geumjeong-gu, Busan, about 547 m from Exit 3 of Pusan National University Station. It is within the Pusan National University commercial area, making it a decent location to continue on to cafés or shopping nearby after a meal.

There was a parking lot in the building right next door, which made it convenient to visit by car. The interior space was more spacious than I expected.

The original post lists the hours as 11:00–21:30, with last orders at 21:00. It says the weekday break time is 15:00–16:30, while weekends operate without a separate break time. Reservations, group visits, and takeout were also listed as available.

What were the seats like for a meal with family or friends?

The interior had wood tones and quite a few tables. The tables were not packed too closely together, so it was comfortable to eat.

It had the feel of a Japanese restaurant without seeming heavy or formal. Rather than a quick solo meal, it felt better suited to sharing several dishes with friends or family.

How much are the sushi and set meals?

The prices listed in the original post were ₩17,000 for Assorted Sushi A, ₩22,000 for Assorted Sushi B, ₩17,500 for the Udon Sushi Set, and ₩20,900 for the Sushi Set.

The salmon jang rice bowl was ₩15,000, the Salmon Jang Set was ₩20,000, and the Albap Set was ₩15,000. Beyond sushi, there were udon and rice bowls, which seemed convenient for people with different tastes.

The set meals paired a main dish with sides such as salad, tofu, and udon, making for a filling meal.

How were the sushi, salmon jang, and albap I tried?

How was the balance of fish and rice in Sushi Set A?

As the food arrived, the table filled with sushi, salmon jang, albap, and udon. It was enjoyable to alternate among the different dishes.

Sushi Set A included white fish, salmon, tuna, shrimp, egg, and seared sushi. The fish covered the rice generously, so each piece did not feel overly dominated by rice.

The salmon was soft and moist, while the white fish was mild and pleasantly chewy. The tuna had a tender bite, and the shrimp was springy, so the textures varied even within one plate.

What sides came with the salmon jang?

The salmon jang came with thick-cut salmon, seaweed, vegetables, and sesame seeds.

The salmon melted softly in my mouth, and the seasoning added savory depth. Eating it with seaweed and vegetables added nuttiness and a fresh texture, so it did not become tiresome by the end.

Did the albap and udon pair well with the sushi?

The albap was a fairly generous portion, with plenty of flying fish roe on top. When I mixed it with a spoon, the roe spread evenly throughout.

The nutty aroma of seaweed, the salty flavor of the flying fish roe, and its popping texture went well together. It was nice to have a bite of warm albap between pieces of sushi.

The udon served alongside had thick, springy noodles. The broth was clean rather than intensely seasoned, so it paired well with the sushi or albap.

The noodles still had a chewy texture without seeming to go soft easily. Salad, soft tofu, clear soup, and pickled items also came with the meal, refreshing my palate along the way.

What sushi and tempura came with Sushi Set B?

Sushi Set B also let me try several kinds at once, including salmon, tuna, and white fish.

The salmon was thick and soft. With thinly sliced onion and a creamy sauce, it was nutty without feeling greasy.

The shrimp was topped with sauce and flying fish roe. The springy shrimp and popping texture of the roe worked well together.

The tuna was tender and mild. Sesame seeds, scallion, and seasoning added savory depth and nuttiness.

The eel sushi had moist, soft eel with a subtly sweet sauce absorbed into it. The nuttiness of the sesame seeds sprinkled on top also went well with the rice.

The white fish was mild and clean-tasting, making it nice to eat between sushi pieces with sauce.

The tempura included shrimp, kabocha squash, and sweet potato. It was crisp as if freshly fried; the shrimp was springy, while the kabocha squash and sweet potato were subtly sweet.

With warm tempura alongside the sushi, Set B was filling enough for a full meal as well.

What kind of meal is it well suited for?

It suited a day when I wanted to eat several Japanese dishes together, such as sushi, salmon jang, and albap. The fish varied in texture, and I could add warm udon and tempura. With parking and relatively ample seating, I thought it would work well for a family meal or a group meal.
