Tomoru Bakery Ilsan (토모루베이커리 일산점) is a bakery café on the first floor of Sunhwan Building, 6-25 Wisi 2-ro 11beon-gil, Ilsandong-gu, Goyang, open from 9:00 to 21:00. It had been a while, but I went back to Tomoru Bakery to buy the kind of bread my kids love.

I had a good memory from my first visit, which is why I returned, and yes, it didn't let me down. So today I'll tell you all about this happy second visit.

Where to park at Tomoru Bakery Ilsan

For Tomoru Bakery Ilsan, use the Amino public parking lot on the right before you reach the shop. Tomoru customers get 30 minutes of free parking. It's on the first floor of Sunhwan Building, so it isn't hard to find.

Outdoor terrace and a forest-like interior

Tomoru Bakery Ilsan catches your eye from the entrance with its stylish interior, and there's a small outdoor terrace table beside the door too. People enjoying the weather and taking it easy had settled in there with their coffee and bread.

Inside, the modern, clean interior grabbed my attention. Wooden decor reminiscent of a forest is placed here and there, making the space warm and comfortable, and with the soft lighting it felt really atmospheric.

There's also a hand-washing area inside the shop, and I liked that it lets you use the place more hygienically.

Bread display and variety at Tomoru Bakery Ilsan

In the middle of Tomoru Bakery Ilsan, a wide variety of breads were nicely laid out.

The toasty smell of freshly baked bread filled the shop, and my mouth was already watering. The displayed breads were covered with plastic wrap, and I liked seeing that they care about hygiene.

Every single bread looked so tempting that I really struggled to decide which ones to pick.

As you'd expect from a bakery café in Ilsan that so many people visit, the quality of each bread felt a cut above.

Signature roll cake and fruit cakes

The showcase at Tomoru Bakery Ilsan held a variety of cakes. The premium roll cake, with a fluffy sponge packed with a mix of 100% fresh cream and white chocolate cream, wins you over from looks to taste, and I hear it's the shop's signature item, loved by many.

There were also various fruit cakes. I hear Tomoru hand-selects strawberries that arrive from the farm every dawn for its fruit cakes. Maybe that's why the freshness of all that generously used fruit came across even from outside the showcase.

The bread I took home after much deliberation

This is the bread I brought home from Tomoru Bakery Ilsan after a lot of agonizing! Since it's a bakery café in Ilsan I love, I loaded up generously and headed home.

Tomoru Bakery's biggest strength is that you can feel the sincerity in its bread. I hear the bread goes through a 13-hour low-temperature aging and fermentation process. Maybe that's why the flavor was deeper and the texture much softer. This is why I keep coming back to Tomoru Bakery!!🍰
