Fine, long hair: why did I get a perm at Park Jun Beauty Lab Cheongdam Branch?

As my hair grew longer, the ends drooped and the volume died quickly, so I booked a layered perm at Park Jun Beauty Lab Cheongdam Branch (박준뷰티랩 청담점) for a change of mood. My hair is fine and doesn't hold perms well, and I was also worried about damage. The Cheongdam Station branch has a reputation for healthy perms, so I picked it :)

How did the layered perm consultation at Cheongdam Station go?

From the moment I walked in, the Park Jun Cheongdam branch felt clean and comfortable!! The staff greeted me kindly, so even on my first visit I could have my consultation without any pressure :)

I was seen by a designer who specializes in air layer perms and long-hair perms ✨ Long hair like mine can let curls fall heavy, but the designer carefully checked my face shape and hair condition, then designed the perm to bring out natural layers and volume :)

They all look like the same design,, but they're different, haha 🤭 I went for a part-line volume perm with thick waves falling down.

How was the cut, keeping my long length?

At Park Jun Beauty Lab Cheongdam Branch, they shampooed first and then cut ✂️ I wanted to keep my hair long, so they preserved the length as much as possible and neatly trimmed only the damaged ends. Even with just the cut, my hair looked much lighter and the layers came alive naturally.

From softening to heat treatment: was the process thorough?

After the cut came the softening step (the perm solution that loosens the hair's structure). Before applying it, they carefully put a protective cover on my forehead so it wouldn't touch my skin, which felt really considerate.

I also had the drink they prepared for me 🍵

They didn't just apply the solution and leave it. They checked my hair's elasticity and the softening level strand by strand, and thanks to the designer's attention to detail I could relax through the whole treatment :)

After a shampoo comes the heat treatment :)

To perfect the curls, before neutralizing they checked any weak spots once more and even added extra heat treatment. Nothing was rushed through, and the care until the very end made me even happier ♡

How do you keep the S-curl at home with a blow-dry routine?

After neutralizing, while blow-drying and styling my hair, the designer explained step by step how to keep the curls and which direction to dry, so I could easily repeat it at home ✨ It's not complicated styling. It's a tip for getting natural, voluminous S-curls with just a blow-dry, so styling from now on looks much easier.

The finished layered perm: how did it turn out?

The finished layered perm!!! Bouncy curls all the way to the ends, right?? It was exactly the natural mood I wanted.

Instead of over-the-top curls, they flow softly along the face line, which brought out a much more feminine feel. It looks pretty tied up, and when I wear it down the volume is still there, so I was very satisfied 🤭

Styling is really easy, and since I got a root perm too, just drying the roots lightly with a dryer, haha, brings back the volume at the scalp! For the lower part, you just set the curl direction with warm air and the style comes together naturally ◡̈

Did the curls last after a few days?

With perms, my curls usually turned frizzy after a few days, but with this layered perm from Park Jun Beauty Lab Cheongdam Branch the curls have stayed calm and my hair looks in good condition, so I'm happy every time I look in the mirror.

The treatment took quite a long time, but the designer's touch was so gentle and delicate that my scalp wasn't uncomfortable at all. It was so relaxing the whole time that I almost fell asleep 😂
