Songpa Korean restaurant with spicy tomato pesce: Wareureu Mansion

I stopped by Wareureu Mansion Bangi Branch (와르르맨숀 방이점) for a second round of drinks in Bangi Food Alley. We ordered spicy tomato haejang pesce and Cheongha, and the generous seafood and noodles made the dish substantial enough to double as a meal. I paid for part of this visit myself.

How far is it from Jamsil Station, and is parking available?

It was within a 10-minute walk from Jamsil Station. It was easy to find at the entrance to Bangi Food Alley, with stairs outside the building leading directly up to the restaurant. The address is Unit 201, 2nd floor, 11-8 Ogeum-ro 11-gil, Songpa-gu, Seoul.

I was told that the parking entrance is in the alley by the building's rear door. Parking is free for one hour, then costs ₩3,000 per 60 minutes, with a stated maximum of ₩5,000. However, the source does not specify the conditions for that maximum fee. I felt that visiting on foot, without having to watch the parking time, would be more convenient.

At the time of writing, the listed hours were 2 PM to 4 AM the next day from Sunday through Thursday, and 2 PM to 5 AM the next day on Friday and Saturday.

Is the atmosphere good for conversation or groups?

The interior had a retro, vintage feel. When I visited, it was fairly cozy and quiet, making it comfortable to drink and talk with friends.

The tables were large enough to sit comfortably, and there were many seats, so it also seemed suitable for group dinners or gatherings. A movie was playing on a large screen along one wall, which was fun to watch now and then. I was also told that they would put on important sports games.

The restroom was a shared building restroom reached through a door outside the restaurant. It required a passcode and was fairly clean when I used it. Tissues were available near the exit.

What did we order, and how much did it cost?

The tablet menu ranged from light desserts and sides to dishes substantial enough for a meal. There were seafood and meat options across different price points. I spent about five minutes just looking through the photos and descriptions before choosing.

We ordered the signature spicy tomato haejang pesce for ₩19,900 and Cheongha for ₩6,000.

After ordering, macaroni salad arrived as a basic snack, and the table was set with water and utensils.

How was the spicy tomato haejang pesce for flavor and portion size?

The pesce is served fully cooked, so I think we waited about 10 minutes after ordering. I was told that it was difficult to add extra broth separately. It arrived with plenty of clams arranged over a tomato-based broth.

It was ready to eat right away, but we removed the clam shells while simmering it briefly so the sauce could soak further into the noodles.

The broth had both tomato tang and spice, with a subtle seafood aroma. It had a pleasantly warming kick that suited my taste, since I usually like soup-style dishes as drinking food. Along with the clams, it included shrimp and bacon, and the generous portion of spaghetti made it filling.

How were corkage and the draft beer event described during my visit?

I was told that corkage was free for one bottle, then ₩10,000 for each additional bottle. An ice bucket was also provided.

At the time of writing, there was also an event offering draft beer for ₩100 per glass when ordered before 7 PM. It was limited to one glass per person and up to four glasses per table. The source did not list an end date for the event.
