Why I mounted it below the steering wheel in a Tesla Model 3

Once you use MagSafe, you fall for its convenience and the many ways it can be used. Generally, a MagSafe car mount is attached to the dashboard or windshield to hold a smartphone for navigation. It is mainly used for navigation.

It can also be used as a stand when typing on a smartphone in the car. This use unexpectedly reduces wrist fatigue. Even though a smartphone looks light, your hand can hurt when you are holding it up to use KakaoTalk or write emails. But once I secured this mount to the steering wheel, it became so much more comfortable to work.

Other mounts were difficult to secure to the steering wheel, but this product has a support base that lets it be fixed there. It was easy to attach, and it is very sturdy, so it does not come off easily.

There are two colors. I chose black.

The interior of my car is in darker tones, so white would stand out too much. This product rotates 360 degrees.

Besides the mount itself, the package includes an instruction manual, a wet wipe, and a dry wipe for cleaning the contact surface.

And most importantly, there is an adhesive plate. Not every part of a car is perfectly flat, so if the spot where you want to attach it is not wide or flat, you can apply this adhesive plate and install it anywhere.

I attached mine beneath the steering wheel of my Tesla Model 3.

What are the mount's features?

Ultra-strong vacuum suction system

Rather than using an ordinary pad or a simple compression method, it uses a vacuum suction system that completely removes the air by turning a dial.

Foldable design

It has a foldable structure that can be folded and opened so it does not block the driver's view. When it is not in use, you can fold it flat to minimize visual obstruction. The holder's height and distance can be adjusted flexibly as needed, so you can find the best position for the driver's or passenger's seat.

Multiple angle adjustments

The head rotates, so you can switch your smartphone instantly between landscape and portrait modes. Landscape mode is well suited to watching videos,

while portrait mode is better for smartphone tasks.

Strong magnetism

MagSafe magnetism is very important for a stable mount. This product has powerful neodymium magnets built in. Its strong adhesion keeps the smartphone from sliding or falling even with vibrations while driving. You can also use it with phones that do not have a MagSafe case by using the included magnetic ring.

My review using it for navigation and work

I use it for two purposes.

Using it for navigation

The Tesla Model 3 has built-in navigation. It has improved a lot, but its updates are still slower than those on an ordinary smartphone. It does not matter in familiar areas, but in unfamiliar places, using both the car system and a smartphone at once helps with safe driving.

You can use it vertically or horizontally. In the case of Naver Map, it provides voice directions, so you can clearly know when to adjust your speed and where to be careful.

Using it as a work mount

A mount is convenient when you are working on a smartphone. The area below the steering wheel is closest to my body, so I attach it there and use it.

And I sometimes use it to watch videos, too.

Overall

This product is excellent both as a mount for navigation and as a mount for working. With electric vehicles, you often spend a lot of time inside the car while charging. So there are times when you work on your smartphone during spare moments. In that case, securing it to the steering wheel greatly reduces hand fatigue.
