Wangsimni dessert café after Entersix: Café Milk Bowl at Eojil In
In short
Eojil In Wangsimni Station Branch (어질 인) is a two-floor bakery café right outside Exit 6 of Wangsimni Station in Seongdong, Seoul. After shopping at Entersix, the writer stopped by for a sugar fix and ordered an iced Americano, the signature Café Milk Bowl, Basque cheesecake and Matilda chocolate cake. Why did I go to Eojil In Wangsimni Station Branch after shopping at Entersix?
Eojil In Wangsimni Station Branch (어질인 왕십리역점) is a bakery café right in front of Entersix in Wangsimni, so I stopped by for a sugar boost after shopping. It had been a while since I'd shopped at Entersix, and I felt like I needed a sugar recharge. I thought, maybe coffee and dessert at a café in the building?! Then I remembered Hanyang University is nearby, so there must be plenty of good bakeries, and when I searched, there was a dessert café hotspot right in front of me?!

So I walked down a little from Entersix to this Wangsimni Station bakery café, Eojil In Wangsimni Station Branch.

Where is Eojil In Wangsimni Station Branch?
Eojil In Wangsimni Station Branch is about a 1-minute walk?! from Exit 6 of Wangsimni Station, which is served by Lines 2 and 5, the Gyeongui-Jungang Line and the Suin-Bundang Line. It's nicely connected, so you can pop down from Entersix after shopping ^^

What are the interior and dessert displays like?
As you walk in, the dessert display with financiers, madeleines and cakes catches your eye first. The first thing I noticed was all those delicious-looking desserts~

There were many kinds of financiers, madeleines and cakes, and gift boxes too, so you can buy desserts as a gift.

Is there plenty of seating?
Floors 1 and 2 of the building are connected, so there are quite a lot of tables. There are single tables and plenty of group tables, so it was comfortable to use.
There were notices posted around the shop, and when I looked, it turns out Eojil In has 2 locations in Wangsimni?! This is the Wangsimni Station Branch, and there's a smaller Eojil In nearby ^^
Eojil In Wangsimni Station Branch menu and what I ordered
The menu starts with the signature Café Milk Bowl and includes many kinds of coffee, plus tea and ade (fruit soda) as drinks, and financiers, madeleines and cakes as desserts.
- Iced Americano
- Signature Café Milk Bowl
- Basque cheesecake
- Matilda chocolate cake

It was my first time at this Wangsimni bakery café, so I had no idea what was good and just picked cakes that looked tasty?! But the cheesecake and Café Milk Bowl were totally my taste~ (turns out these two were the recommended items, lol)

Matilda chocolate cake

How did the Basque cheesecake taste?
The Basque cheesecake at Eojil In Wangsimni Station Branch is made with Philadelphia cream cheese and dairy fresh cream, so it's dense, rich and so delicious >.< I'd also considered the matcha one, but since it was the same cake I went with the chocolate cake, and now I'm curious about the matcha version too haha
Turns out this was the signature cake, lol. No wonder it tasted like something nobody would dislike. It was cheesecake~~~

Is the Matilda chocolate cake very sweet?
The Matilda chocolate cake at Eojil In Wangsimni Station Branch was less sweet than I expected. The color is a deep dark brown and it's chocolate, so I ordered it thinking it would be super sweet, but it wasn't, which was a bit disappointing for me personally?! But my companion said it was delicious precisely because it wasn't too sweet, lol. I picked chocolate to eat something sweet, so what's that about, haha, but it's personal taste, and I wanted it sweeter, lol

What is the signature Café Milk Bowl?
The Café Milk Bowl (Baekmidang/Paul Bassett) is the signature menu item at Eojil In Wangsimni Station Branch, milk ice cream enjoyed together with espresso. I ordered it because of the two words "signature" and Paul Bassett, lol. Those two words can't possibly mean anything but delicious, right?!

You get smooth, nutty milk ice cream, and as it melts and meets the espresso you enjoy the coffee too, two birds with one stone ^^

I only noticed later that the Eojil In tissue has Wi-Fi and restroom info on it, which is thoughtful and cute haha
Is Eojil In Wangsimni Station Branch worth going back to?
Eojil In Wangsimni Station Branch had the most customers of the cafés around Wangsimni, so I figured there must be something special here! The shop itself is spacious, and the desserts and coffee were good too, a real Wangsimni dessert café hit ^^
