What kind of Korean BBQ restaurant is Olheun Gogi near Mangpo Station?

Olheun Gogi Suwon Main Branch (옳은고기) is a meat restaurant on Yeongtong-ro 218beon-gil near Mangpo Station. I went for dinner on Monday, July 6, 2026 at 6 p.m. I eat meat at home a lot, but meat eaten out is a different kind of fun. Meat grilled right on a charcoal or griddle grill makes your appetite jump from the smell alone, and with side dishes it's a hearty meal, so it's something I crave now and then.

I was looking for a place to eat near Mangpo Station and kept seeing reviews of Olheun Gogi as a Mangpo Station Korean BBQ spot, so I went. It's not far from the station, so it looked fine as a meeting place too. The mood was relaxed enough for after-work meals or for coming with family and friends.

What are the atmosphere and group dining rooms like at Olheun Gogi?

The restaurant feels clean and tidy overall, and there's a separate large room area at the back, which looked great for company dinners. The tables weren't cramped, and it had that lively Korean BBQ energy. It was dinnertime and quite a few customers were there, which made me think it's a neighborhood place people come to casually.

Once you go inside, there's another large room-only space. It would be good for a group dinner there too. They sell lots of things, like pork belly and beef.

When we sat down, the basic side dishes were already set out before the meat came. It was a nice lineup to eat with meat. Kimchi, wraps vegetables and other sides were neatly laid out, so the table already looked pretty generous before any meat was grilled.

What comes in the Olheun Pork Set?

We ordered the Olheun pork set (옳은 돼지 한상세트). It comes with Hanwoo beef yukhoe (seasoned raw beef), cheese, steamed egg, and the best pork assortment.

Beyond that there are à la carte meat dishes, accompaniments, sides, and alcohol and drinks, so you can eat to your own taste.

The side dishes weren't the end of it: braised radish with tuna and a seasoned vegetable dish came out too, and eating them alongside was delicious.

How do the 710g of pork belly, pork neck and loin trim taste?

The star of the Olheun pork set is 710g of top-grade Hanwoo-grade pork in three cuts: pork belly, neck, and loin trim (deongsal). From the moment it arrived, the meat looked great, fresh, and very good quality.

The thickness was just right, so it felt satisfying even before it hit the grill. When the meat went on, we heard it sizzling and a savory smell rose up. Meat really is a food that makes you happy from the moment you start grilling.

Do the staff grill the meat for you at Olheun Gogi?

The best thing about Olheun Gogi Suwon Main Branch was that the staff grill everything for you, start to finish. They grill it up neatly and skillfully, and they come over to turn and serve at just the right moment, so you can feel they're looking after each customer.

What goes best with the grilled pork?

Eat the grilled pork with the side dishes however you like. The meat's own savory flavor came through, and it got more mild and clean the more I chewed. It's good dipped lightly in salt, and it also went well with ssamjang (dipping paste) and the sides. Eating it with myeong-i namul (wild garlic leaves) or kimchi made the meat taste even cleaner.

The pork belly was nicely savory, and the neck had its own texture that was fun to chew. Each cut differed a little in taste and texture, so it was fun to alternate. Meat can get greasy partway through, but with the prepared sides I never got tired of it until the end.

How were the Hanwoo beef yukhoe, grilled cheese and steamed egg?

Just meat alone would feel like something's missing, but the Olheun pork set includes sides like yukhoe, cheese to grill, and steamed egg, and eating them in between was delicious. Meat can get greasy partway through, and this is a really nice part of the set.

Is the Olheun Pork Set enough for three people?

The Olheun pork set is well put together overall, and even for three people the amount was plenty.
