Where is Eolkeunhan Ppyeo Haejangguk Suwon Ingye Branch?
Eolkeunhan Ppyeo Haejangguk Suwon Ingye Branch is a 24-hour pork bone soup (haejangguk) specialist in Ingye-dong, Paldal-gu, Suwon. It's about an 8-minute walk from Suwon City Hall Station, and there's 2 hours of free parking in the building's underground lot.

I heard there was a great spot for an Ingye-dong haejangguk dinner, so I went to check it out! It's about an 8-minute walk from Suwon City Hall Station, and this Ingye-dong favorite — Eolkeunhan Ppyeo Haejangguk Suwon Ingye Branch — runs 24 hours, so it's great whether you're craving a spicy broth in the morning, evening, or dead of night :)
Menu and prices at Eolkeunhan Ppyeo Haejangguk

Eolkeunhan Ppyeo Haejangguk Suwon Ingye Branch sells mostly haejangguk-style dishes — the bone hot pot, plus pork bone soup (10,000 won), ugeoji pork bone soup (11,000 won), gopchang seonji soup (11,000 won), and more! The bone hot pot in particular comes in small/medium/large sizes, so it's great for groups who want to add noodle sari and fried rice, but it's also sold as single-portion dishes, so solo diners can enjoy it too!

There are also add-ons like extra bones (12,000 won), sujebi (hand-torn dough) sari (3,000 won), and ramyeon sari (2,000 won), which looked great for throwing into the hot pot >_< Since it's a spicy haejangguk place, they also sell steamed dumplings you can pair with your meal — sounds like a good side, right?

How spicy is the regular-spice bone hot pot?
The bone hot pot (small) is 29,000 won, and the spice level splits into mild / regular / spicy (+1,000 won). I ordered the bone hot pot (small) in regular spice today :)
They say regular spice is about Shin Ramyun level, spicy is like Buldak Bokkeum Myeon, and extra spicy is described as intensely hot — apparently you have to request the extra spicy version separately!

Side dishes, the self-serve bar and two kkakdugi refills
When you sit down, they set out basic side dishes, and you can supplement them from the self-serve bar! But honestly, the most important thing at a haejangguk place is the kimchi, in my opinion — and the kkakdugi here was perfectly ripened and sweet-and-sour, so good I refilled it twice haha.

Looking around, I also spotted a bone udon menu item, where it seems udon noodles replace the rice. There seem to be lots of variations on the main pork bone soup, so it's easy to pick one that suits your taste haha. Everything is available for takeout, so if you'd rather eat comfortably at home, you can just take it to go!

How is the small bone hot pot different from gamjatang?
I wondered whether the bone hot pot at Eolkeunhan Ppyeo Haejangguk Suwon Ingye Branch would be similar to gamjatang, but since it's a hot pot, the broth felt a bit clearer. They set the burner up with the bone hot pot piled high with perilla leaves and green onion :)

When I eat this kind of bone hot pot or haejangguk, I really love the ugeoji (dried napa cabbage leaves) mixed in, and this Ingye-dong favorite didn't skimp — it was generously piled in, which I loved! There were bean sprouts too, giving it a bit of a kongnamul ramyeon feel, and the meat on the bones was thick and delicious dipped in soy-wasabi sauce.

Why the 2,000 won ramyeon sari is a must
I figured adding ramyeon sari to this delicious broth would be a guaranteed win, so I added it in... haha, and sure enough, it was great >_< Remember the ugeoji and bean sprouts I mentioned? Adding the noodles made the combo even better — crunchy, chewy, and it just slid right down! There were also fluffy potatoes.
They say this place gets spicier the longer you boil it, and it really did get hotter as it simmered! Regular spice wasn't unbearable at all — it was right around Shin Ramyun level, manageable even for someone with low spice tolerance.
* For kids, mild spice would probably be the way to go!

Finishing with fried rice and free ice cream
You always finish with fried rice! If you add the fried rice option (3,000 won), they take the pot away and stir-fry it for you, bringing it back cooked. It wasn't quite the flavor of fried rice I expected, but with plenty of extra green onion and seaweed mixed in, it had great savory depth and was delicious :)

Just as I was patting my full stomach and heading out, I noticed something — diners get one free ice cream each! And it wasn't some no-name knockoff ice cream either, just genuinely good ones haha. The owner clearly knows what's good...
After eating a spicy, fiery haejangguk that left my mouth burning, having dessert ice cream ready afterward made for such a refreshing finish :) If you're looking for a solo dining spot in Ingye-dong, or hunting for a late-night haejangguk place while hungover, give Eolkeunhan Ppyeo Haejangguk Suwon Ingye Branch a try!
