Yakiniku date bar in Gwangalli: couple counter seats at Bisyoku

In short

Bisyoku Gwangan Branch is a Japanese-style yakiniku charcoal-brazier grill restaurant in Gwangalli, Suyeong-gu, Busan. The writer and a partner sat side by side at the bar counter, grilled the Oishi Set (400g, 99,000 won) of premium sirloin and sang-loin, and enjoyed the pig-doll call bell and the photo zone where snow falls 365 days a year. Bisyoku Gwangan Branch is worth recommending as a Gwangalli date spot when you want both good meat and a bit of showmanship.

Main photo of Bisyoku Gwangan Branch, a Gwangalli yakiniku restaurant

The weather's been so nice lately. Where do you all go on weekend dates? If the same old café and the same old restaurant route have started to feel a little boring, please focus on today's post! I found an absolutely amazing spot that felt like time-slipping from the middle of Busan to a snowy village in Sapporo, Japan, T_T Great food, plus such romantic staging that love just bubbles up when you go as a couple. This is my honest review of Bisyoku Gwangan Branch, a mood-packed yakiniku (Japanese-style grilled meat) restaurant in Gwangalli. Let's gooo!

Where to park for Bisyoku Gwangan Branch

Bisyoku Gwangan Branch has no parking lot of its own, so it's best to use Suyeong Waterside Park public parking, just a 1-minute walk (about 67m) away. It costs ₩1,800 for the first 60 minutes and ₩300 per additional 10 minutes, which is super cheap!

You all know parking is everything in Gwangalli, right? If you're coming by car, using the Suyeong Waterside Park lot is good for your mental health, haha. It's 3 minutes by car from Gwangalli Beach and 5 minutes from Centum City, so access is fantastic too.

Bisyoku Gwangan Branch exterior and interior

Bisyoku Gwangan Branch has an exterior that brings the feel of a local Japanese izakaya (pub) to a classic wood-toned wooden building.

Look at this exterior! From far away I couldn't help saying "Wow, what is that place?" T_T

The look, a classic wood-toned wooden building that seems to carry a local Japanese izakaya straight over, grabbed my attention right away.

It felt like discovering a hidden local gem in an alley in Kyoto or Sapporo! The exterior is so good that I couldn't stop pressing the camera shutter before even going in. You absolutely have to grab a shot at the entrance of Bisyoku Gwangan Branch before you go inside!

Best seats for couples: the bar counter

The inside of Bisyoku Gwangan Branch is decorated with warm string-bulb lighting and bamboo landscaping, and for couples the best spot is the bar table (dacchi-seok), where you sit side by side and enjoy the charcoal grill. The bar seats are popular, so it's best to reserve through Naver in advance.

Step inside and the soft, warm bulb lighting and lush green bamboo come together for the ultimate coziness. The lighting is so pretty that you both look a hundred times lovelier, magic lighting, hahaha. No wonder everyone raves that it's a holy ground for Gwangalli dates.

Oishi Set at Bisyoku Gwangan Branch: what's included and price

The signature menu of Bisyoku Gwangan Branch, the "Oishi (delicious) Set", is ₩99,000 for 400g, and comes with 300g of prime sirloin, 100g of sang-loin and colorful grilled vegetables. Add just ₩15,000 and you can also get a small hot Hanwoo nabe (hot pot).

We picked Bisyoku's most representative signature menu, the Oishi Set! Add the small Hanwoo nabe to the generous lineup and it's the best value combo (whispering).

The meat has finally arrived...! Look at that tightly packed marbling T_T

That bright pinkish-red color is just glowing.

How does the charcoal-grilled premium sirloin taste?

I put eggplant, zucchini and mushrooms on the grill, cooked the meat one piece at a time and popped it in my mouth... wow, the juices burst in my mouth and it just melted away. So moving T_T

Maybe because it's quality premium beef, the depth of richness was different.

The pig doll on the table is a call bell

On the tables at Bisyoku Gwangan Branch there's a receipt-review notice board and a cute pig doll, and the pig doll is the bell for calling staff. If you join the Naver review event, you also get a special tare soy sauce as a gift.

I thought this was just a decorative prop... but it turned out to be a "call bell" for calling the staff!! Hahaha Press the pig and it makes a sound, and it's so cute and funny that we burst out laughing mid-date 🤣 What a clever touch... Be sure to press the cute pig bell, and join the simple Naver review event to take home the special tare soy sauce, the ultimate savory booster.

What time does the snow fall at Bisyoku Gwangan Branch?

The real cheat code of Bisyoku Gwangan Branch is the "365-day snowing photo zone", where snow falls all year round. Snow falls at 18:30 and 20:30 on weekdays, and at lunch 13:00 and dinner 18:00–21:00 on weekends.

  • Weekdays: 18:30 / 20:30
  • Weekends: lunch 13:00 / dinner 18:00–21:00

It's the photo zone that set Instagram on fire ❄️ Can you believe you can witness white snow swirling in the middle of Busan, all four seasons, T_T If you time a video, Reel or Naver Clip to when snow falls softly over the cherry blossom scenery, it's guaranteed to blow up, hahaha. I hereby appoint it your couple's life-shot maker, bang bang! They say it runs on the hour, so noting the times is a must!
