Suwon Italian restaurant for Alfredo cream pasta: Low Five Sinpung

It had been a while since my husband and I visited Haenggung-dong in Suwon. There are so many great places to eat there, but we finally went to Low Five Sinpung, somewhere I’d wanted to visit with him for ages. I’d tried Low Five’s corn pizza at another branch before and remembered it being so delicious.

Low Five Sinpung is in a converted house, so it has a different feel from a typical restaurant. The red awning and wooden window frames caught my eye, and they suited the atmosphere of the Haenggung-dong alleys perfectly.

Where do you park at Low Five Sinpung?

Low Five does not have its own dedicated parking lot. You can use a nearby paid lot, such as Seon-gyeong Library Parking Lot, I-Park Municipal Art Museum Parking Lot, or Jangan-dong Public Parking Lot.

We parked at Jangan-dong Public Parking Lot that day. I think it took about 10 minutes to walk from there to Low Five! If you’re visiting by car, it might be useful to keep the public parking lot locations in mind.

Outdoor tables and a warm wood-toned interior

There are tables out front, so dining outdoors would be lovely on a cool day. Pets are allowed too, but a carrier or leash is required, so please keep that in mind!

Just like the exterior, the interior had a warm wood-toned feel. With wooden tables and chairs and sunlight streaming in here and there, it felt cozy overall!

I especially thought the window seats were so pretty. 1574♡ Through the large windows, you can see the Haenggung-dong alley just as it is, and with the sunlight coming in, it felt like a little restaurant somewhere abroad, haha. If I visit again, I’d like to eat at that seat too.

The tables were spaced quite generously, so it would be nice for a visit with friends, and it was also a great setting for a date like ours.

Ordering half-and-half pizza, pasta, and lasagna

A half-and-half pizza costs an extra ₩1,000. We chose corn pizza and pepperoni, and if you come to Low Five, the corn pizza isn’t optional—it’s essential! The two of us ordered three dishes. The prices weren’t overly burdensome either, so it’s nice to order a few things and share.

Corn pizza with a noticeable truffle aroma

This was the very corn pizza that won over my taste buds when I had it at another branch! Something I noticed anew this time was that the truffle aroma really came through with each bite. The sweetness of the corn and the truffle flavor went so well together.

The pepperoni pizza was spicy and savory, while the corn pizza was sweet. I approve of this half-and-half combination✨ Rather than ordering just one kind of pizza, I recommend getting half-and-half so you can try both!

The Alfredo cream pasta was our number-one pick

This Alfredo cream pasta was our absolute top pick! It came with grilled bacon, and it was delicious mixed into the cream sauce. Between bites of the tomato-sauced lasagna and pizza, the nutty, smooth cream pasta kept the meal from feeling heavy, and the combination was so good.

Jalapeños came as standard, but I asked whether they also had pickles. I’m the kind of person who can’t eat Western food without pickles..😅 They kindly brought us some! It seems pickles are only provided on request, so if you need them, just let a staff member know :)

Limited-quantity classic lasagna

The lasagna had layers upon layers, with tomato sauce and cheese. The tomato sauce and nutty cheese gave it a different feel from tomato pasta.

A place I want to return to for a Haenggung-dong date

It had been a while since my husband and I came to Haenggung-dong, and having delicious food in such a lovely setting made it feel like a proper date :) Low Five Sinpung was not only about the food—the restaurant itself was warm and pretty, so I think anyone looking for a great date spot in Haenggung-dong would love it.

The staff were also truly kind, from the moment we arrived until we paid and left, so we enjoyed our meal right to the end. If you’re looking for good pizza or pasta in Haenggung-dong, or a date spot with a lovely atmosphere, I recommend Low Five Sinpung :) If we come back to Haenggung-dong, it’s definitely a place we’ll visit again! 🤍
