Nonchalant Lounge location and parking in Haenggung-dong

I went to Nonchalant Lounge in Haenggung-dong with friends. It had been a while since we had all met up, and we wanted to have something delicious and chat at leisure somewhere with a nice atmosphere. From the ambience to the food, Nonchalant Lounge was so satisfying overall that I wanted to introduce it!

Nonchalant Lounge is on the first floor along the road, directly across from the NongHyup Suwon Bukmun Branch parking lot.

Parking can be a surprisingly tricky part of dining in Haenggung-dong, but there are public parking lots nearby. Hwahongmun Public Parking Lot and Jangan-dong Public Parking Lot are the closest, and the fees are fairly reasonable. Nonchalant Lounge supports parking costs for up to two hours on weekdays only, so keep that in mind if you are driving.

A spacious interior filled with natural light from floor-to-ceiling windows

The mood changed completely as soon as we stepped inside. ⋆｡‧˚ʚ🍒ɞ˚‧｡⋆ The interior was much more spacious than I expected, with plenty of room between the tables.

There was everything from six-person tables that are great for groups to bar tables suited to eating alone. It seemed like a nice option for family meals, group gatherings, blind dates, or dates of all kinds.

They also have high chairs, so that is useful to know if you are visiting with a child!

The window-side area has floor-to-ceiling windows throughout, and the natural light made the atmosphere really lovely. 𓆉⋆｡˚⋆𓇼 ˖°

Plants and wood-toned furnishings throughout gave the space a warm yet calm feel. Even the playlist was quietly my style, so the atmosphere and music both hit the spot for me.

What we ordered and how the meal was

The items above are the signature dishes, but there were many other choices too, from brunch to pasta, risotto, and steak. They also have dishes that pair nicely with a casual drink after 5 p.m., for reference.

Truffle bulgogi risotto

The risotto itself was incredibly creamy, and the cream and bulgogi on top came together for such a great combination of flavors.

The truffle aroma was not overpowering either, so I think even people who do not like truffle would enjoy it. Personally, the truffle bulgogi risotto is the dish I would wholeheartedly recommend from what we ordered that day. ｡ﾟ•┈୨♡୧┈•ﾟ｡

Bisque rosé pasta

First of all, I loved how plump the shrimp on top was. The shrimp was springy, the bisque's distinct seafood aroma came through quite strongly, and the rosé sauce and seafood flavors worked beautifully together. Definitely approved as a great Western restaurant in Haenggung-dong..𓊆♡︎𓊇

Salchisal steak doneness

I was told the salchisal steak normally comes medium rare, but I prefer my meat a little more cooked, so I asked for medium well! It was cooked exactly as I wanted, and above all, the meat was so tender. The mushrooms, asparagus, and tomatoes that came alongside were great with the steak too. The grilled mushrooms in particular were nicely salty and seriously delicious 🍄🟫

Grapefruit ade

You know ade is an essential order with Western food, right? It had plenty of grapefruit preserve in it, so it was sweet and tasty without feeling watery.

A Haenggung-dong gathering venue available for private rental

Nonchalant Lounge is also available for private rental. I heard they host all sorts of private events, including wedding after-parties. Since I am getting married next year too, this part caught my eye even more.

Having visited in person, I thought the lovely ambience and delicious food would make it a good after-party venue too. That is how pleased I was with the place overall that day. I recommend it for meals with friends, Haenggung-dong dates, family gatherings, and group get-togethers :)
