11am open run at a Yeongjong eel buffet: Set B, free gejang, Jangsodam

I'm a mukbang blogger who travels the whole country chasing good food! ✨😊 Not long ago I went for a drive out to Yeongjong to get some fresh air, and ended up so satisfied and stuffed that I had to sit down and write this up right away haha.

Honestly, whenever I hear "all-you-can-eat," I get a little skeptical about the meat quality or the vibe, you know? But this place completely smashed that stereotype! No parking stress at all — here's my honest review of Jangsodam Yeongjong Direct Store, an eel and beef buffet specialist in Yeongjong, Incheon.✨

A roomy, comfortable dining room and easy parking

Search Jangsodam on Naver Maps and it points you to Hyojeong Plaza — just pull straight into the basement lot and you're set! It's right in the central commercial area of Jungsan-dong's Haneul City, so it's easy to reach by public transit too.

There are cars parked along the main road too, but banners around the area warn of enforcement on weekdays and weekends alike, so I'd recommend parking in the basement lot if you can! Free for 3 hours, too — total win.😆

Jangsodam is on the 2nd floor, which made it perfect — easy to walk up, and the elevator doesn't take long either.☺️

And get this — it's a pet-friendly restaurant!! Most restaurants have restrictions when you've got a pet with you, but since Jangsodam is in Yeongjong, where lots of people come to travel — especially with family or with a dog — it seemed like an especially great fit.👍🏻

The first thing you see walking in is floss, toothpicks, and hair ties! All the meal essentials gathered in one spot.😍 If you've got long hair and forgot a hair tie, problem solved right here haha. I hadn't brought one that day either, so I was relieved!! And I always floss after eating meat, so grabbing one on the way out is such a nice touch.✨

Arrive at the 11am opening to skip the wait

It was a pretty hot day, but the moment I stepped inside, I felt that comfortable calm! That's exactly what you get when you visit right at opening time. From lunchtime on, customers keep streaming in and there can be a wait, so I'd recommend aiming for the opening window (11am–12pm) like I did.😆

My table had a view out the window! The spacing between tables was generous, and each seat has its own smoke vent, so there was none of that stuffy feeling you usually get at BBQ places.🙌🏻 The dining room is big enough that plenty of groups and families were also there for gatherings on the day I visited!

With so many families coming through, it's no surprise there's a neat stack of baby chairs ready to go in one corner.👍🏻

The time limit is 100 minutes for pork and 120 minutes for eel/beef, so there's plenty of time to eat until you're stuffed!

What's on the self-bar, from the sundae steamer to Han River ramyeon and ice cream

Right from the basic side dish corner, you could tell everything was fresh! The lettuce wraps were kept fresh by type, and even the mushrooms and potatoes were beautifully fresh.😚

All kinds of kimchi, pickled radish, garlic, scallion strips, ginger strips, and more!! Everything was piled generously, and the sauces — spicy eel sauce, teriyaki sauce, scallion sauce — were all kept neat and well-managed too!

And the real shocker — there's a hot sundae (Korean blood sausage) steamer right at the BBQ self-bar! Lift the lid and it's loaded with not just sundae but savory liver and intestines too, basically like a snack shop haha. A whole steamer set out for refills like this — I've never seen that anywhere but Jangsodam!!🫶🏻 Perfect for grabbing a warm plate while the meat's still on the grill!

There's also spaghetti, tteokbokki (spicy rice cakes), and dubu kimchi (tofu with stir-fried kimchi), so I went for the dubu kimchi first! The kimchi was perfectly fermented — paired with the tofu, pure bliss.🤩

On one side: pork neck, pork belly, galbi, dak-galbi, sausages, pork skin, tteok-galbi and more!! So many options that decision-paralysis-me was endlessly picking..😂

Oh! You can also make rice balls here, but since I was going all-in on meat that day, I skipped the rice.☺️

This corner is the dessert area for Han River ramyeon and ice cream! Apparently this place is famous for its ice cream too..👏🏻

The ramyeon lineup includes Shin Ramyun, Jin Ramyun, Neoguri, Buldak Bokkeum-myeon, Chapagetti, Anseong Tangmyeon, and more..‼️ Honestly more variety than most dedicated snack shops.

Even the drinks are unlimited refills✨ At this point I was thinking there's no way this is such good value.

Set B eel and beef sirloin: are the refills really unlimited?

After a lot of deliberation, I ordered Set B! Set B lets you eat unlimited eel, beef sirloin, pork, and the self-bar all together! There are a bunch of set options, so it's easy to pick whatever combo you want.👍🏻

One thing to watch out for!! The menu board said Set B includes unlimited beef chuck short rib, but in reality only the sirloin (with great texture) is unlimited for beef!! If you're planning to focus mainly on eel and beef, I'd gently suggest Set A instead, which lets you try more beef cuts.👍🏻

After ordering, a robot delivers your food a little while later.👏🏻

I thought maybe the first delivery (?) just happened to look great, but nope!! Even on my second and third refills, everything came out at the exact same top-quality condition.😍 The basic side dishes were spotless too🫶🏻 A perfect match for the eel and beef!😆

The eel is seriously thick! Honestly, at most all-you-can-eat places the eel tends to come out thin and a bit flimsy, right? Here, the japonica freshwater eel was thick and plump, just like at a specialty eel restaurant!

Grilled golden-brown over charcoal, crispy outside and juicy inside✨ One bite and the clean, nutty flavor filled my mouth — I genuinely questioned whether this was really all-you-can-eat quality.😋 (To be fair, if I'd grilled it myself it wouldn't have come out crispy-outside-juicy-inside like that — my friend's grilling skills deserve some credit too..👍🏻)

Put a thick piece of eel on a fresh perilla leaf, dab it in ginger strips and the special teriyaki sauce, and wrap it up? That's a proper energy boost of a flavor! Is there anything better for recharging your stamina?😆 It was so tender it practically melted before I'd chewed a few times😭 And the perilla leaf plus ginger cut right through any richness, leaving just clean, savory flavor.😚

Me, the eel-and-beef bandit, eating plate after plate, ended up throwing them both on the grill together..

And beef sirloin is seriously a masterpiece, right? You know how you have to eat it right when there's still a slight pinkness inside!! Grilled to just the right doneness, you get that juiciness and nuttiness in one bite! My grilling attempt was kind of a fail(?) but my friend nailed it right away — juices everywhere, gorgeous sheen‼️

You all know the winning beef combo, right?? Wasabi and salt!! This time I swapped wasabi for ginger and salt, and it turned out to be a surprisingly great combo haha.

Want to know the most impressive part? Even when I ordered refills, the quality stayed exactly as high and fresh as the very first plate!! And by the third refill, my grill-master friend was cooking it for me, which made it even better lol. No shortcuts, no downgrade — just genuinely good meat and eel the whole way through, which felt so satisfying to eat.😋

Add the one free gejang serving when you order on the tablet

I was too busy eating the seasoned crab (yangnyeom-gejang) to snap more than this one photo — when ordering, you'll see an option on the tablet menu to add seasoned crab (offered once, free), and you should definitely add it!

At first I thought the seasoning might be too spicy, but it turned out sweet-and-spicy with an explosion of umami — eating it between bites of grilled beef or eel totally refreshed my palate and, honestly, is the real reason I kept eating meat endlessly! An absolute meat-and-eel thief.🦀

Dessert: unlimited Han River ramyeon and soft-serve ice cream

For dessert ramyeon I picked the savory Anseong Tangmyeon! There are clear instructions, so it's not hard at all! It's cooked in an automatic ramyeon machine, so the noodles came out perfectly springy and chewy.

After eating meat, a sip of that spicy, savory ramyeon broth just melted the richness away👍🏻 A perfect way to end the meal👏🏻 I wanted more but I was too full for a second bowl.. I wish I could eat more like a true big eater🥲

Then came ice cream time~🍨 I didn't realize it, but apparently this place is famous for its ice cream!? Everyone was full but still made sure to get some, so I fought through the fullness and scooped up a big serving too!!😂

It's soft-serve straight from the machine, and instead of that cheap icy texture, it's completely smooth, chewy, and nutty — proper premium ice cream. Even though I was stuffed, it was so good I secretly went back for a second helping.☺️🫶🏻

Ahh~~ I was so full I left a little bit, but still — cleared it!!!‼️

I ordered Set B for adults at 34,000 won! Elementary school kids and preschoolers get much cheaper rates, so keep that in mind.🙌🏻

Worth a stop nearby: Eulwangni Beach

There's a bit of a drive from Jangsodam to Eulwangni, but you can't come all this way and not dip your feet in the sea!! I wanted somewhere lively, so I headed to Eulwangni Beach🌊 It was pleasantly cool with some clouds, and we had a proper good time.

If you'd rather stay close, Yeongjong itself is right by the coast, so you can easily dip your feet in nearby too🤩 Everyone, get out to see the sea before summer's over!😆
