What kind of place is Clermont Monde?
Clermont Monde is a Gangnam skin care shop near Cheongdam Station, set inside a converted house. Lately every selfie kept bugging me about my face shape, so I looked into contouring and lymphatic massage options and ended up going to Clermont Monde, which had really good reviews! Since it's a converted house, both the outside and inside are apparently gorgeous!

Isn't it so pretty and peaceful-looking? It's a bit of a distance from Cheongdam Station and the hill up to it is pretty steep, so I'd avoid high heels.

The inside is clean and tidy — it was crazy hot out that day, but the inside felt like being inside a fridge, so happy about that haha. The staff were all kind and everything was neatly organized.
First visit: what to bring and the changing room
For a first visit, Clermont Monde has you fill out a bunch of information forms like these.
The changing room is on the 1st floor. There's no separate room for men and women, but it seems they schedule things so you don't overlap. Contact lens solution, towels, hair ties, mouthwash and a hair dryer are all provided.

You take off your top and lie down. There are several treatment rooms, and you just follow the staff's directions.
As you can see on the right, the rooms are divided by curtains. Just so you know, it's not super private.
Arriving after work: the treatment starts with cleansing
This is the treatment bed! The electric mat underneath was warm and cozy while the air was cool, such a great combo 😋🫧🫧 Since I came straight from work, my makeup was still on, so they carefully cleansed everything from my point makeup to my skin — thoroughly!
After cleansing, they do this to soften up the sebum (?)
They apply a calming gel like this and then the real treatment begins.
How far the contouring goes, and how much it hurts
Clermont Monde's contouring treatment works through everything — scalp, face, neck, shoulders, ears, groin, chest, arms. Absolute paradise. They kept checking in on the pressure throughout and clearly stayed attentive the whole time, which I appreciated so much 🥹
Doesn't it look so refreshing? They don't work bare-handed — they massage wearing latex gloves, so even though it was my first time getting a contouring treatment, I wasn't worried at all. I'd heard so much about how gua sha or hand-pressure contouring can leave 'hand toxins' on your skin that I was a little nervous going in (lol), but with Clermont Monde you really don't need to worry about that!
I genuinely didn't know an ear could be worked (?) this hard. It hurts but it feels so good. Like your head is being blasted wide open. If you want to get rid of facial puffiness, ask them to really dig into your scalp and ears — hard! You can literally feel the swelling draining out.
The modeling pack finish and how the face looked after
They finished off thoroughly with a modeling pack too. Apparently Clermont Monde tailors the treatment 1:1 based on your skin type. Not all contouring treatments are the same — they quickly figure out what you actually need and build the treatment around that.
Clermont Monde is mostly hand-pressure work rather than tools or machines. Over the 60–70 minutes, they worked so hard I actually wondered if it was tiring for them. (My cheekbones were a bit sore the next day.) My jawline got noticeably more defined! Both the director and I were thrilled about how much prettier my face line looked, haha.

If you're looking for Gangnam skin care or a pre-wedding treatment, I recommend Clermont Monde 🖤 Lymphatic massage and contouring treatments are all the rage right now, so make sure you get it done somewhere proper. All the staff were kind, which made for a genuinely pleasant visit. They told me once a week for about 10 weeks gives the best results, and after that you can space it out and take it slow.
