Why I went back to bd Burger Seongsu after shopping in Seongsu

bd Burger Seongsu is a handmade burger place on the 2nd floor near Yeonmujang-gil by Seongsu Station. A few days ago I went to Seongsu with a friend, and after browsing the Olive Young at Seongsu Yeonbang and shopping at Musinsa, we got hungry. We wanted something quick, and suddenly I was craving a burger. And bd Burger, the handmade burger place my husband and I enjoyed before, happened to be right nearby~

I remembered enjoying it quite a lot last time, and honestly I don't normally like shrimp burgers. The texture is often mushy and the sauce feels greasy, so I usually skip them. But when I tried the shrimp burger at bd Burger, I thought, "Huh? A shrimp burger can actually be good!" So this time I came back with a friend.

bd Burger Seongsu is open every day from 11:30 to 21:00, with last order at 20:30. Parking at the restaurant is difficult, so use a nearby paid parking lot.

There's a weekday lunch set discount, but we missed the time window that day, which was a shame. If you're shopping, on a date or out for the day in Seongsu on a weekday, it might be worth timing your visit for the lunch set. Keep it in mind!

Seating and the Friday afternoon atmosphere at bd Burger Seongsu

The restaurant is on the 2nd floor, with seating from 2-person tables to tables for larger groups. We went around 2pm on a weekday Friday and it was still almost full of customers; these two seats were just being cleared.

There were 2-seat and 4-seat tables by the window and the wall, and my friend and I took a 2-seater.

How do you order at bd Burger Seongsu?

You order from the tablet at your table. Drinks are brought to you, and when your burger is ready, an alert pops up on the screen and you pick it up yourself. There's also a receipt event, so if you like corn salad, keep that in mind.

The self-bar has water, napkins, small plates, forks and knives and so on, so just take what you need.

What two of us ordered, and the prices

My friend and I ordered a BD Grilled Shrimp set, a Sriracha Shrimp burger on its own, a Sprite and two corn salads. The total came to ₩39,600.

bd Burger's shrimp burger: tasty even if you dislike shrimp burgers?

I was the one who recommended the BD Grilled Shrimp to my friend. The shrimp patty had that lovely springy bite, and I was happy when my friend said they liked it because it wasn't greasy in that typical shrimp way.

I took a big bite of my Sriracha Shrimp, and the spicy kick meant there was zero chance of it feeling greasy, haha

Considering I don't even like shrimp burgers and I'm eating this happily, bd Burger Seongsu is definitely a good match for my taste.

Moist, crispy, savory, springy... it was so good that my friend and I went quiet for a bit and just inhaled it. haha I guess I really do like these juicy handmade burgers. I never liked shrimp burgers, but at bd Burger I keep ordering them.

Eggplant fries and corn salad as sides

The eggplant fries at bd Burger Seongsu are a real treat, so I recommend trying them as a side~ The coating is crispy, the eggplant is moist, and you can taste its own sweet, nutty flavor. Truly special.

I thought burgers alone might feel a bit lacking, so we ordered corn salad too. It's sweet and crunchy, and nice to eat between bites of burger.

Final thoughts on a meal at bd Burger Seongsu after shopping

Shopping in Seongsu means more walking than you expect, and after Olive Young and Musinsa that day I was pretty tired. Maybe that's why one good burger made me feel energized again. If you're shopping near Seongsu Station and want a quick burger, a handmade burger is a solid choice.

I came back because I remembered enjoying it with my husband, and this time with a friend it was delicious again. Especially since this is a shrimp burger that even someone like me, who doesn't love shrimp burgers, can enjoy, I think I'll think of it next time I'm in Seongsu. When you're shopping in Seongsu and looking for something tasty, drop by. Even if you don't really like shrimp burgers, you might be surprised how good this one is.
